"it would seem to me that proofs without stories, or even stories without struggle or mystery, and first glimpses of strange beasts, are not very meaningful or valuable to us humans."

Just an observation and I could be way off, but didn't Imray start a few matches this season and did quite well to put pressure early on in matches? I hope he is added soon in the 2nd half to add a spark. Part of me wants to see O'Hare, Rathbone, and Imray out there together. #askwxm

While Contreras may be somewhat right about the use of analytics, I'm pretty sure "baseball" would agree with analytics that 99% of the time on balls hit like Chisholm's in the 2nd inning with nobody on and 2 outs the 1st baseman should cover first base instead of standing there watching. #RedSox

Mickey Gasper was a joy to watch this season, and his efforts deserved a post season opportunity. I can't help but feel awful for the guy. I'm sure this season was everything he could have hoped for, for a guy that worked so hard to be in the show. Injuries are so much more than physical. #RedSox

I would think most people didn't doubt his stuff. It was his ability to work through tough innings. Pre-AllStar, the wheels would come off and he struggled to get back in a rhythm. Perhaps the coaching staff also helped him crack that code so to speak. He definitely seems like he's having more fun.
