I've made a decision to start over with the project. I'll keep the unnecessary lesbians though.

Fuck it I decided to write a short story cuz why not. Why shouldn't I.

I had a dream with one of my own fictional characters. It was an antagonist character I wrote for a future project.

This account is lowkey dead I need to revive it.

Making a slice of life adult life simulator but with a 4-day work week so the game still has those fantasy elements.

It's so sad that a scene you write in your head and the actual scene you write on paper aren't the same thing.

I made a few lines description of each character in the main cast of my game and sent it to some of my friends + ppl from the target audience. And they all like my skrunklies! I'm so happy about it and so excited to share them (and their stories) with everybody.

I love writing cuz I can worldbuild the most weird shit and all characters in-universe will take it seriously anyway. I can turn a man into a gigantic bug if I want to. Who's stopping me? And everyone will have to death with this.

Dawg look at my PR department we're not getting any audience with this. 😭

The reason A.I. is being shoved down our throats is shareholders want a return on their investment. Every company that integrates this crappy tech into their products knows you don't want it, but they've sunk too much money into it and don't care. Turn it off, don't use it, don't look back.

Not recognizing trans people will 100% make eggs cheaper.

Another format I really want to try is telling a story through a series of news articles/social media posts and messages from POVs of different characters. The game Cytus 2 does this very well.

1/ Writing a fanfic or smth like that (maybe your own short story) in a thread is... interesting. Not in a bad way, of course. I want to try to write a short story in a thread myself. That'd probably be fun. I'll add it to my to-do list.

I'm honestly so terrible at worldbuilding. Especially when it comes to naming things.

000

🫐 Rika Weiss @smolblueberry.bsky.social · 07/12/2024

I made a Telegram channel for myself named "Did Rika write today?" so people can scold me for not writing. No, planning, worldbuilding and outlining does not count as writing.

I wish people making technology would at least stop to think about the possible negative social implications of creating that technology.

The worst thing about writing is that I can't tell how much foreshadowing is enough. Is this too obvious? It this too hidden that it won't be visible even in hindsight? Hard to tell cuz I'm an author so I know the whole mystery.

I collected so many wild stories while working in retail in 2022, there's enough for a whole book. It was such an insane experience. One day I will write some of those stories, I already planned how I should do that. #Writing
