#FCOsaka announced the signing of Shuto Asano on Jul 19. However, #MelakaFC (MAS) has just released a signing confirmation for the same player on their socials. Asano is still listed on the FCO website as a player, but is not registered with the league. Does somebody know what is going on here?

Interesting to see that the winter transfer window is extra long this year, thanks to the season transformation. Apparently, the rules still allow for the usual two windows during a season, so the second window has immediately started upon the end of the first window. Deadline is Apr 8 per FIFA TMS.

The J1, J2/J3 and JFL Special Seasons are added to @transfermarkt.de. For now the 5th and 6th tier leagues 2025 seasons are also visible on the Japan overview page yet so far I am only aware of CSL playing a 2026 season. Rumor has it regional leagues will switch calender for 27/28. #jleague

Not only will JEF Chiba be back in the J1 for the first time since 2009, but the nine remaining members of the #JLeague Original 10 - Kashima, JEF, Urawa, Verdy, Yokohama (F)M, Nagoya, Shimizu, Gamba, Hiroshima - will be together in the top flight for the first time since 2005.
