It’s even got a sassy, sharply-dressed AI, the hallmark of any quality show.

Aptly named. He had an arm, and he ended.

I bet StarKid called the villain of Black Friday "Wiggly" because "Chthuwu" was too on-the-nose.

To paraphrase a different Space Jam star, “Let’s do some shills”

Apparently, the credits for the new Switch 2 game Orbitals includes special roles for all the production pets, and that's just delightful.

I honestly play more games on my *laptop* with the controller compared to the console it’s actually built for.

Congratulations on the role! I remember auditioning a while back myself. Looking forward to hearing you in the series!

Spotted Caine at Ottawa Comiccon, though he was a lot fluffier than I remember him being.

No wonder this was the thumbnail for Episode 8’s preview

One thing I'll say about the OoT remake: thank goodness the focus of conversation is off that *other* game for once.

This was even wilder than the time Caine went on a rant about the top ten reasons why we should drink beer.

If you have a Gmail account, you need to read this. Google's AI now scans your emails and attachments, bank statements, tax files, medical letters, all of it. It turned on by default, and there's a class-action lawsuit over how. Here are 5 moves to shut it off, the switch is hidden in two places:

They hyped up this otter boss in Zoopunk, only for them to show up for a scant few frames. This Gamescom was an embarrassment.

Though sadly not in Canada yet. Guess I’ll have to wait still.

If they ever did tabletop games together, Ashe Medea would totally be Cydney’s character name.

I had no idea that "shaw" stood for "shock and awe," because that's what I feel while looking at this piece.

It’s a con I haven’t gone to yet, but the guests are interesting (they’ve even got Galactic Empire doing a concert the first night!) The only other con I’ve been to is a much smaller Smiths Falls one, got to meet comic artist Dan Day at the one from this year.

In retrospect, your voices for characters like Mai and Tea were early vocal feminization practice.

20 years ago today, at 11:15 PM EST, an important milestone in VGMdb history was reached: our first album page was submitted. It was technically the third album page, but the first two pages were database tests that were deleted. I chose the Final Fantasy VII Original Soundtrack because it was a favorite of mine, but it is also a fitting tribute to the impact that this soundtrack had in inspiring new game music fans. Of course, at that time, we were an experimental special project on Gamingforce Audio, and it would be a little more than a year before we relaunched as VGMdb.

It is interesting to reflect back over the last two decades, and examine how much our coverage has matured. Our scope broadened to include animation around 2009, as we re-branded to "The Music of Visual Arts and Games." The scope of our coverage would see further adjustment over the years, and while this has posed challenges at times, our central pillar has been and always will be game music. In parallel to this, our ontology has become steadily more detailed as we added a flexible artist crediting system that really glues together the album, product, and publisher pages.

There are more than 158,000 album pages on VGMdb, spanning over 3 million individual tracks, and almost as many artist credit links. It would not have been possible to catalog all of this information without the help of public editors, and in fact, there are 6161 individual accounts that have submitted data to VGMdb. We are eternally thankful for all of your contributions, and more so for being patient during the evolution of our more stringent requirements for sourcing and accuracy.

So, as we near our official 20th anniversary, we at VGMdb are excited about the future. There are some things moving behind the scenes that we are looking forward to sharing with you soon.

Given that Hiroshi Takaki’s doing the soundtrack, I wonder how jazzy it’s gonna be.

That out-of-bounds area almost looks like a fan artist’s mood piece or a visualization of Blake’s internal monologue. The black and purple are kind of her colours too.
