The liver makes up to half the lymph in the thoracic duct, so an inflamed liver sends cells into circulation. Our review in Seminars in Liver Disease argues that T cells carry inflammation from the liver to the brain. www.thieme-connect.com/products/ejo...

HIV enters the brain and doesn’t leave – paradoxically, drugs intended to reduce brain inflammation increase virus levels
Immune cells can carry HIV into the brain, leading to problems with memory and cognition. Blocking other immune cells from the brain can make matters worse.

We just walked into an animal shelter because we drove by and saw they were having an adoption drive. Then the volunteers there told us that this sweetheart has been in the shelter for over a year. But they’re waiving the adoption fee for folks who come in to adopt Radar or another cat today.

Here is fun way to play with data. The below graph shows the United States total cancer death rates from 1968 through 2023. In 1970 the United States started funding research to find how to prevent and cure cancer. See ALT for more. 🧪💡☠️ #Sociology
See how strait that line of dots going up from 1968 through 1990 is? That that line leveled off for five years then headed down is what scientist did to our cancer death rate. To estimate how much good science did, I calculated the number of cancer deaths we would have had if that line of dots kept going up like it did up to 1990. If that like kept going up from 1991 through 2023 we would have had about 24,549,776 cancer deaths. Our count of the number we had is 19,302,445. The difference between those numbers is a good estimate of the number of cancer deaths science prevented from 1991 through 2023 and that number is 5,247,331. that is 21.4% of the number that I estimated would have been.

Even though Trump is trying to end research on. preventing and curing cancer, the science that has been done will continue to work. And anti-cancer research will continue in the rest of the developed world some of it by scientist Trump and the republicans are running out of the United States.

Note the regression equation I used to predict the deaths that would have happened without science is another scientific equation: Yearly cancer death rate is -4001.25974+(2.11424*year from 2000 through 2023.

I want to add one comment and call this done. If Evangelicals were not so stupid that they want to rely on prayer, it is cheap and totally ineffective, the saved lives would be about 20% more.

There is not enough room to list this data for the visually impaired here.
