As someone who disagrees with *most use of military force the USA has employed since Tora Bora (2001) sadly this situation represents a must intervene. I don't know if Trump rejected a Saudi call for aid or if his staff of dispshits has fully comprehended all this but....it isn't really optional.

Took over 20 years from impetus to institution, for reforms and income tax to return oligarch power back to the people. It took another 20 years to really start working. Seventy years of work started to come undone in 1980's (Reagan) bringing us to today. The new war won't be won in our lifetimes.

The founders knew they didn't have a liberal democracy, only a framework that would allow one to evolve. The battle was against those provisioning for elite and powerful to rule while champions of fundamental rights added protections for individuals rejecting tyranny, even by "the people".
