Goodbye (Mr) Clips. I haven’t opened it let alone used it in years but Apple have given up on their short-form video editing app. www.macrumors.com/2025/10/11/a...

@marcsettle.bsky.social Oh wow, unfortunately I can't answer your Bluesky private messages here in the UK unless I do an age verification via KWS. What the ...? I suppose I have to answer via the old bird ... if it works. 🥴

This is very persuasively argued. For the price of a new iPhone 16 pro, you can get a very recent & decent 15 pro - plus a whole load of extra gear which will lead to much better video results than the 16 can achieve on its own. #mojo youtu.be/vjpZVgirIWI

Want to follow someone for a mix of photography, mojo, video editing (FCP etc) & more? Then try my BBC colleague @photocumbria.bsky.social who joined BlueSky today & currently only has THREE followers, one of whom is (depressingly) a porn spambot and also (equally depressingly) me.

I just recently experienced one of the risks of being part of a small Mastodon server: Server seems to be down and no way of knowing whether it'll be back since I can't contact the admin. It's not my personal Mastodon account but still...

@marcsettle.bsky.social Looks like Bluesky is finally getting some muscle. 😁 Any good Android phones I should know about these days?

an undigested bit of beef @mrreciprocity.bsky.social · 21/10/2023

This was what killed it for me. At one point the admin of my instance de-federated from .social--aka the place where the bulk of new users land--then reconsidered and re-federated, thus essentially soft-blocking half of everyone's follows, with no notice. Just casually severing people's connections.
