What could go wrong? You won't have one large PR covering all of that later on... For one crate in the workspace.

I normally don't do this. I just happened to completely YOLO error handling for this one project.

Note to self: Don't use anyhow in your Rust library code. Yeah it makes it easy to prototype, but it makes it a bitch to go back and properly add error types.

Holy shit. Last I checked on the game, Ole Miss was like one score behind Florida. That final score is brutal.
The image is a sports scoreboard showing the final score of a game between Ole Miss and Florida. On the left, Ole Miss, ranked number 4, scored 28 points in grey text. In the center, the word Final is displayed in white. On the right, Florida, ranked number 21, won with 52 points shown in bold white text, alongside their alligator mascot logo.

Maybe some day I'll rewrite the code (In Rust™), but my main issue is that the API service I was using to resolve music streaming links was sunset at the end of July. So it's basically non-functional at this point.

Good night, sweet prince. 🫡
The image shows a terminal screen interface with a dark background displaying command-line output. The top status bar shows the fish shell version 4.9.3, with system metrics indicating CPU usage at 64.47 percent, memory usage at 20 out of 32 gigabytes, and execution time of 8 milliseconds. Below the status bar, the main content displays a Kubernetes command "kubectl delete namespace/muzakbot" in a teal and blue color scheme, followed by the success message "namespace muzakbot deleted" in white text.

If you're curious why I say "this is a great way to load test", me posting a link to my site on Mastodon resulted in 400 GET requests in a two minute period.
This is a bar chart displaying activity over a time period from 8:26 AM to 8:27:50 AM, shown on a dark background with green vertical bars of varying heights indicating values between 0 and 10 along the y-axis. The chart shows fluctuating data points throughout the approximately one-minute interval, with multiple peaks reaching above 7 or 8, and lower activity toward the end. A legend at the bottom left indicates "info" with a green marker and shows "Total: 400", suggesting this chart tracks some form of information events totaling 400 during the observed time period.

I mean look at that spike in CPU usage!
A performance monitoring dashboard displays two line graphs tracking CPU Usage and Memory Usage over time for a web application. The top graph shows CPU usage peaking sharply around 10:47 to approximately 0.003 vCPU before dropping back down, while the bottom graph illustrates steady memory growth from around 4.77 MB to nearly 9.54 MB over the same time period spanning from 10:32 to 10:52. Both charts feature blue data lines against dark backgrounds with time stamps along the horizontal axis and measurement values on the vertical axis, indicating monitoring of system resource consumption for the webapp service.

lol I made the proc macro, so I can now render Markdown at runtime or have a component generated at compile time.

Smalls @smalls.online · 14/08/2026
Web browsers, also some other apps but primarily web browsers, have got to stop with shortening their release cycle. Update fatigue is real.

Smalls @smalls.online · 10/08/2026
That is currently only usable at runtime. I want to also have the opposite of it so I can write the page components in Markdown and have those components' code generated at compile time.

Took a lot longer to do, but that's done. Only a few things I have left to do. Mostly some minor fixes and optimizations.
100
Smalls @smalls.online · 01/08/2026
A lot like how my current one works, but more robust. Only thing I need to do is implement hash checking so that I don't unnecessarily update image data.
100
Smalls @smalls.online · 01/08/2026
Basically works like this: Extracts all image nodes in the Markdown tree, filters out remote URLs , uploads the images, updates the content in the Markdown string (Not the file), and then creates/updates the post in the DB.

Smalls @smalls.online · 31/07/2026
The CLI is something I run in a CI workflow in a git repo. Any Markdown file that changes gets processed through it. Makes it easier to maintain the content for versioning.

Smalls @smalls.online · 31/07/2026
I'm so fucking close. This week I've been putting together the API and CLI for blog publishing. Biggest pain was designing the OAuth authentication and validation. Not so much the implementation, but more on the library API.
