I packed up @b1g.monster's "No AI" banner overlay into a UnityPackage you can import to automatically overlay your scene when taking avatar thumbnail pictures for @vrchat.com. Thank you to @purpzie.com for distributing them in an easy way. #VRChat github.com/SloneFallion...

It's possible if you create an issue on the VRCQuestTools Github asking for a standalone converter so you can fine-tune the materials before upload, they may oblige.

VRCQuestTools will auto-convert during upload. It's not perfect, but it's decent. You can also do an NDMF manual bake of the avatar and then nab the materials and textures from the baked assets. Bit tedious, but I have done it successfully for mat swap reasons.

Kitty Pomni full reference sheet.

She has two color patterns:
- Harlequin, which is a mostly white pattern with black socks, a black tail, and a black heart spot on her back.
- Tuxedo, which is a mostly black pattern with white socks and a white marking on her tail.

She has alternating color toe beans which means one paw is blue and the other paw is red. Her ears underneath her hat are black with pink inside.

I agree don't leave. But do let them know you have choices and you're staying up to date with those choices. And make sure you have an exit plan prepared and ready. Own your avatars. Buy from BOOTH/Gumroad/Jinxxy, etc... without DRM so uou aren't locked into VRChat marketplace's DRM.

Neat! I loved this movie a lot and I love seeing a collaboration for it. It's too bad that @vrchat.com is actively promoting worlds created with generative AI, stating they are made by people in the community. I'll be voting "no" with my wallet after supporting them monthly with VRC+ for 3+ years.

I feel this. I also took a week off from my group and used that free time to really lean into learning things Blender to create a world. Seeing @vrchat.com's recent post and the deluge of AI-created worlds in the new tab... it seems like they'd rather I send in my AI agent to play for me, instead.

Oh, and the website says to "Open a profile to see what else they have built." Okay, bet. Wow! Look at all that slop! That's a scrollable list of 58 worlds. Maybe some very early ones at the bottom aren't. Some have very few visits/favorites because nobody was interested in the slop thumbnail.

You don't need a headset. Desktop VRChat is a pretty enjoyable experience for many. Promoting AI slop, especially while saying it's made by people, is a valid issue, but I just wanted to let you know that the headset isn't required.

I actively avoid these worlds. Tying an ad to the native menu ain't it. And it's animated... plus all the in-world ads. 🤮 I've used a tip jar in worlds I really enjoy. I don't like subs, but I'm happy to support a one-time payment. Donated for most of the VRC Unity tools. Won't support that world.
