Saw the NYT accent survey going around again, so the time has once again come for me to post my results—even if it accuses me of being a perfidious Eastern Washingtonian—in a vain attempt to contextualize the things I say about my accent despite reactions to them from philistines.

Big red areas concentrated primarily around Eastern Washington, Southern Oregon, and Northern California. Highlighting Spokane, Reno, and Santa Rosa.

Spokane because "kitty-corner," Santa Rosa and Reno both because "crawdad."

I'm very bad at "favorite." I do not understand what "favorite" means in a context like this, and I do not wish to understand. Frankly, it makes me a little sick that people can come up with "favorites" so easily. That's neither a joke nor a bit.
