Im going to try to keep this short. Yall know by now im not good at that. Soon- folks may see OblivionSorrow and I beginning to exist in the same spaces together again. This is intentional and with my consent. There’s been a lot going on in the background, one of the outcomes is that friends of ours who were In The Room the night of the events between Oblivion and I finally feel as though they could come to me and tell me what really happened that night. They helped me realize that what happened was not assault, rather an unintentional crossing of a boundary that parties involved didn't know existed. I completely misremembered what happened, and due to fear of making mutual friends choose sides, I instead sought out the support of someone who was not present. That was one of the many mistakes I’ve made in this entire situation.
I hate that things got to the point that they did, and for my part in it. this is now being handled between the people who were actually involved, as it should have been from the beginning. I'm fine with answering any clarification DMs, but Oblivion and I are hoping to move forward.
Additionally, people continue to bring up how community leaders responded to this event, such as Bobbie-Christine. I want to acknowledge that while I struggled with the conversation BCB and I had immediately following the event, I understand why it happened the way that it did. I think BCB and everyone else did what they thought was best at the time, given the entire situation and the additional perspective that I myself did not have.
At the end of the day, I have always and continue to want things to stop. Only now the vitriol and threats and everything else is at the top of the list.
