i've been doing volunteer work pretty consistently for the last decade in various scenes, i should be able to get paid for it, but the only advice i get to do so is usually "just keep reliably showing up" which seems like it's advice designed to extract the maximum amount of free labor from me.

so i started to transition socially...gosh i have to count...twenty two years ago, as of this spring. it was 2003 and George Bush was president. i was 13 at the time, and i made a pair of pads for a bra out of toilet paper and cloth tape. i wore those pads until a year into HRT.
