iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Not one of my favourites but what I love about this account is how its shown me that there is so much more to Hopper than scenes of urban life. His variety of moods, his travels and huge variety of subjects. Thank you.

I can find nothing on the net about the company, let alone the book and their works have been redeveloped into housing. It's just a funny little artefact from a bygone era.

A couple of pages to give an idea of the many entries:

Two pages from the gazetteer, the left listing shirtmakers, the right, shoemakers.

The book is two parts, a gazetteer to businesses, from shirt makers to theatres and a street atlas. The contents page gives an idea of what is covered:

The first contents page titled 'London Man,' opposite a welcome and information on shopping hours.

It's a pocket #guide to #London , dating to I guess, to the 1950s, published by bakery equipment company, so probably a gift to my granddad who worked for #Lyons Bakeries:

First page of the book welcoming the reader, with the name of the company, Atlas Equipment (London) Equipment, and their address, Atlas Works, Adam Place, Georges Rd, London, N7

Looking for papers in my mothers house, excavating a cupboard that happened been opened for years, I happened across a little red book, it's about 5"x3":

A small red book, with AE on a stylised globe embossed in the centre.

Honestly, if the pic was cropped, the tie taken out, you wouldn't able to tell if this was the shot from the back or front. Sorry for making you think about that.

"wealthy, status quo strongly-worded letter in a suit" is a wonderful description.

Not the bombing of a school, not the deportations to countries in crisis, not the ICE shootings of US citizens, not the kicking people off medicade or the kids off SNAP, none of that bothered them, just paying more at the pump. It's hard to feel sympathy.

Look, you can either ban weirdos or hire Elon Musk to work in the Pentagon, one or the other, not both. #musk #pentagon #hegseth
