So grateful for the effect Jackson’s words had on my life. Your’s too, Ms. King. Two of our greatest songwriters. ♥️🎂

I’m very glad the Trib enlisted you to help with this tribute, Zak. He was an amazing man, and provides unending inspiration in the fight for protecting public lands and restoring Glen Canyon. He and Jane were a dynamic duo. My life is richer for having met them.

I had the honor of visiting him at Pack Creek 3 years ago and playing my wilderness songs for him. He and his wife Jane were so gracious. A memory I'll always treasure. Rest in peace brave warrior. Love to all who knew him. We'll keep up the good fight.

I am saddened to report the passing of an icon in the battle to protect the lands and respect the Indigenous people of the Colorado Plateau. Ken Sleight, AKA "Seldom Seen Smith," passed away peacefully in his sleep about 3 AM this morning. His life remains an inspiration for so many.

Big time kudos to that player. Name? Couldn't find a #10 on the current roster. Older video? Or someone who didn't make the final cut?

...in Brooklyn seven months ago. Laid back, gentle and unpretentious, Mr. Bohan, 34, tried not to gripe too much about his day job, although he was not thrilled to be working 102 stories off the ground.

Ms. Kelley, also a banjo player, spent many hours playing with Mr. Bohan. Their repertory ran from Irish ballads to songs by the rock band Kiss to 19th-century American roots music. "We'd play just about anything," Ms. Kelley said. The two had been inseparable since meeting at a music jam.....

But Mr. Bohan would rather have been plucking a banjo or strumming his guitar, jamming with friends until late at night. Alison Kelley, his girlfriend, said he hoped to parlay his musical talents into a full-time job, perhaps as a music teacher at a public school. "Music was so important to him."

From the NY Times - Like so many New Yorkers, there was more to Darren Bohan than met the eye. By day he was a temp and for the past few months he worked on the 102nd floor of 2 World Trade Center, where he crunched numbers for the Aon Corporation.

At the memorial service held last month in Hurley, 350 people gathered in an oversized tent smack in the middle of an apple orchard. From the 2-foot-high stage, friends and relatives gave testimonials, read tributes, and played music -Bohan's music -all day and all night long.

But even while easing his way into corporate America, Bohan's music never stopped. "For him, the art was 24/7," said Udoma.

Bohan wanted to have a family, and he knew that he needed to be more self-sufficient, Udoma said. "We called him a happy-go-lucky free-spirit, but he was in touch with his source," she said. "I don't think that people knew how connected he was with his own inner wisdom."

In his late 20s, Bohan returned to college. "I think he did want to become a professional musician eventually, but he was practical in the sense of realizing that you have to eat and you have to pay your bills," said his aunt, Noreen Kahlftorf.

Encouraged by the waterfalls and giant sequoias of Yosemite, a 20-year-old Bohan picked up a guitar and taught himself to play. His talent bloomed, leading him to experiment with several other instruments and, for a short time, to play in a band.

"He finally gets a job in accounting, and he gets there early ... " he said, his voice trailing off. After attending high school in Hurley, N.Y., where he was raised, Bohan journeyed to Europe. Returning to the US, he lived in Yosemite for almost 10 years, eventually becoming a tour guide...

Bohan, 34, had recently accepted a temporary assignment at Aon Corp. to help with budgets. It was an irony his family could not have imagined. For much of his adult life, they had encouraged Bohan to get a traditional job. "He was a free spirit from A to Z," said Gary Bohan Jr.

Saw Kara Swisher on "Have I Got News For You" the other day. She has said "This is a coin-operated presidency, and they have the coins... If you have money and you give them money, they'll do what you want." With CU, the whole freakin' government is coin-operated. Had been. Now just more blatant.

CNN, PLEASE get rid of Harry Enten, one of the most annoying people on TV. That a respected news organization has this clown on so much is baffling and hurts your credibility. His info is usually pretty worthless. His exit with Berman is stupid, too. Still promoting Kalshi during his segments? Why?
