I met him at Anime Revolution in Vancouver in 2015. He was not at Anime Revolution in 2015, he was on a cruise with his family that happened to stop at the dock outside the convention center. Nobody else recognized him. He was super nice.

A year ago, I was in California, on my first trip outside Canada, the biggest thing I've ever done. I spent a week hanging out with a whole bunch if my mutuals I've known online for 5 years, and it was one of the best experiences of my entire life. I love my friends, and I miss you all so much.
