One month later and my feed is 99,99% great - filled with great miniature painting, anime girls, cool art and historical artifacts, etc. - but somehow, SOMEHOW, the fucking furry fat fetish inflation shit STILL sneaks in every now and then. This is crazy, unhinged, patently absurd.

Every so often I rewatch Dan Olson's This is Financial Advice and it makes me grateful for not being a massive idiot At the same time, it makes me worry - am I susceptible to some other collective psychosis scam scheme, that I'm completely blind to? Am I as critical a thinker as I like to believe?

The "funny" backstory behind this is that I was trying to get my old Elegoo Mars and anycubic wash and cure set up to do some printing. They've just been sitting around for a few years, though, so I did some maintenance - lubing the z-axis screw, etc. - and remembered why I stopped to begin with

They used to say that squats "don't fit into the aesthetic of 40k" and I used to stubbornly think "no, you can make it work" But now when I see how they actually brought them back, I find myself thinking "okay, yeah, I see what you mean"

Bought a Kobo and DAMN this thing is nice. Much snappier than my Kindle, better interface, fantastic reading experience - both English and Japanese - just all around great. Couldn't connect it to the JP Kobo store, so I guess they don't want my money. At least it reads .epubs from my LOCAL LIBRARY.

Doing one of those "media threads" I've seen people do. I wanna get a little bit more thoughtful in regards to the things i watch, read or whatever, and I figured writing something short about each thing would be a good way to start. Gonna take a little while to catch up on this year, though.

Don't know if I ever shared Bocchi the Urbanmech. Painted her, and a bunch of other BattleTech mechs, to introduce a couple friends to miniature wargaming through Flames of Orion. No one showed any interest whatsoever, so we ended up never playing. #battletech

After constantly hitting "show more/less like this", muting ~30 tags and words and blocking 50+ people, my discover timeline is finally down to ONLY ~15-20% furry and the amazing digital circus art. Don't get me wrong, that's still way too much, but compared to Monday this is borderline acceptable.

Twitter finally hit me with the age verification, so I'm back again - for real this time. Uninstalled the app and everything. I've kind of gotten tired of the multilayered cryptosarcastic quantum-irony shit, so I'll try to be more sincere and authentic going forward. I'll talk about things I like.
