IIRC: If I had to guess, this would seem to be the latest chapter in homeschooling. with the growth of homeschooling, more people were availing themselves of the option to get books from the state library system. postage and shipping costs grew considerably.

I live in Bangor and I think the same way every time people rant about “the homeless problem” and how horrible it is to have to see street people. The people living on the streets are more likely to originally be from a rural Maine town that has pushed out their own family members. #mepolitics

Presidents since 1997: Clinton (3 yr overlap), Obama (8 yr), Biden (4yr) = 3+8+4 = 15. 15/28 is about half. I'm guessing she most likely voted with the D president when there was one. Collins is partisan GOP now!

People can't understand why Mainers have stuck with #Collins for so long. Here's empirical evidence to share - A study in "Congressional Quarterly found that Collins voted with her party on party-line votes 59% of the time between 1997 and 2016" meaning she voted with the Dems 41% of the time!
