Yes! Bsky links in posts should be intercepted automatically (famous last words) Bsky links elsewhere can be intercepted but you have to enable it in the Android settings of the app. Here is what those settings look like on my Samsung phone Credits to @nowrench.com for this feature.

If you want to try a different AppView, you can configure it in Advanced Settings. By default the field for AppView service is empty, i.e. your PDS will forward requests to your AppView. The grey text is an example showing what the service string looks like: 🧵1/3

The copy & quote post option is useful for quote post challenges. If you have quoting disabled for others by default then you may forget to enable it and you quote post a challenge but others cannot quote yours. That is silly. Copy & quote post automatically enables quoting for others.

At startup Skywalker rewinds to your last viewed post. There is a maximum to how far it will rewind, by default 20 pages of posts. A page is ~100 posts, can be less due to content filtering, e.g. muted words, replies to non-followed users, etc. You can now change this maximum. 🧵3/3

Your home feed will be marked by a 🏠-symbol in front of its name. Furthermore you can set your home feed or last viewed feed (the default) to be shown at startup. When you share content from another app to post with Skywalker you don't have to wait for rewinding anymore, when the app 🧵3/5

You find more options to narrow down your search. When you pin a hashtag as a favorite feed, then the active search options will be include so you can pin a feed that shows you post with a particular hashtag from people you follow. 🧵2/3

Maybe you need to restart the app. I certainly see your verification. The logic is: * Bluesky will automatically send Bluesky trusted verifications to you. * For other verifiers, the user decides who to trust. I could verify people if I want and if you value my verifications you can see them.

Note: when you upgrade to the latest version and you are on @eurosky.social then Eurosky is added to your trusted verifiers so you will see verifications from them. On Mu they show more verifications. If you want you see those too then you can add these verifiers yourself: @france-atmosphe.re 🧵1/2

Technically every user can verify anyone else. You can now pick which verifiers you trust in addition to the Bluesky trusted verifiers. Verification badges for those verifiers are coloured mu-pink. If you are on Eurosky then Eurosky will be added to the verifiers on startup. If you do not 🧵4/6

You can now choose DeepL or other apps for translation. For DeepL you must have the DeepL app installed. When you choose other then Android offers you a choice of apps available on your device that can do the text processing. 🧵2/6

Group chats give some interesting behavior in Skywalker 😂 When you receive an empty message, it may be an invite to a group. When you are in a group, you can see the group in Skywalker! System messages look eh ... peculiar. You can see messages all members, but you don't see who sent it. 🙉

I have disabled the "Filtered posts" feature by default in order to reduce memory consumption. It is a waste of memory to keep track of filtered posts when you never look at them. You can enable the featute in the Moderation menu. 🧵7/7

Someone reported a problem with muted words having an expiry date and the pulled back the report as the same issue shows in the Bluesky app. I forgot who :-) I just noticed this error. It is a bug in Skywalker. It saves the expiry date erroneously as local time instead of UTC. Apparently the 🧵1/2

When you reply to a post with mentions then only the poster gets notified, not the mentions. Often that is good enough. It avoids mentions getting unsolicited notifications. Sometimes you want to notify the mentions though. Skywalker has the @-button for that. It copies all mentions to your reply.
