Thanks for pointing this out, it was a bug with autoplay preloading. Just pushed up a fix for it. 🙏

it's unfortunate it seems to be closed source, but @skytube.video might be by far one of my favorite bsky alt clients

This weeks update on Bluesky’s blog regarding 2026 updates has us stoked for longer form content. 👀

Bluesky blog update screenshot

On posting: Basic features like drafts are still missing. The composer should handle media better — three-minute videos aren't enough, videos should upload faster, four photos aren't enough, threads should be easier to create.

No, but it should! Going to add that to my todo list.

Pushed up a few more tweaks and updates for mobile devices in SkyTube v0.3.1. Logged in users can now navigate more quickly using the new mobile nav, and returning from a video brings you back to exactly where you left off. Enjoy! 📺 skytube.video

Strange that you're seeing that. I just added a feature to clear cache and reset the app. Can you go to sign in and click the SkyTube logo 5 times till this popup shows up? If you clear data and refresh you should be good. www.skytube.video/signin

Yep, good question. We filter out accounts with the (!no-unauthenticated) label server side, so their posts won’t show up on the trending feed.

ATProto is turning out to be a single account for your entire online social existence. Watch videos and comment from your Bsky account, visit a blog and leave a message/comment (which are basically replies to a post...) This feels like a little slice of early internet *fun* is back

LOVE this interoperability! 🤩 All it took was logging into @skytube.video with my Bluesky account and writing a comment from the view of Cluster's post that SkyTube gives me, and now it's there both ways without any need for cross-posting!

Screenshot of Felicia's browser on SkyTube, logged in with her Bluesky account, having composed a comment on the video Cluster uploaded on Bluesky that is being viewed from SkyTube.

Felicia's comment, "Love the cool new Wooper made of mud 🥰", that she was able to post on SkyTube after having logged in with her Bluesky account.

The same comment, viewed from Bluesky, where one can see it is a reply to the original post. Felicia posted the comment on SkyTube, but it's here on Bluesky now too without any need for crossposting!
