Yup! The angle of the laser is like that to better draw the player towards the schrodinger cubes and focus on how they work first. The laser is also shooting so close to the door so then there is the chance the player realises that the laser can't harm them, but I need to teach this more eloquently-

This was also done to see how viable it is for me to work with this aesthetic. A bit on the fence, I still think there is stuff I am missing for this to really pop out, but its a good start and certainly will be good knowledge to have going forward.

Spent today messing around with the props I have to work with and trying to turn it into an overgrown aesthetic as seen early on in Portal 2. Also wanted to take advantage of the shape and lighting of the level to try focus on what's important in the puzzle for the player.

Localization is a GOOD thing. We NEED localization so we feel the story in the way that was intended. Without localizing a translation, you get seemingly nonsense. And all machine translation gives is seemingly nonsense.

Shadow Generations is generally pretty great at least they improved a lot with that one but I also haven't returned to it in about 2 years so, idk. Anyways, 3D Sonic games aren't as fun to me now and I feel sad about that lol

Unleashed daytime levels still scratch a good itch at least and I still think those are some of the best designed boost levels we've ever had. Generations is still good btw, but sadly I think some of its "magic" is lost on me now. Oh and Frontiers I thought was shit and still is shit, sorry lol.

a very select handful of levels now mainly from SA2. SA1 is still generally solid but I don't find any of the levels to be all that replayable to me. Even a quick replay I did of Generations recently had me feeling kinda numb. I don't find it as exciting as I used to think it was.

Okay to elaborate more: I still do enjoy some 3D Sonic games, but the cracks in even the "good" ones are beginning to show in my mind. I love the Adventure games for kind of the wrong reasons now, I like those for nostalgia, soundtracks and jokes with friends. Gameplay wise I think I only enjoy-

Next update. Got elevators to work alongside triggers to open/ close the doors automatically. Also my first attempt at an actual puzzle and I realised mid-recording I accidently solved it the wrong way with only the portals lol. Did this to mainly test the process of making a puzzle in Hammer.
