I’m super late to this of course, but here are #my9albums - we had a lively family discussion about this which was fun - these are not necessarily my 9 favorite albums either now or ever - but the 9 that had the most influence on my musical tastes over time - I think that was the idea…

Oh yes, wouldn’t have missed that! Definitely very enjoyable, Jobson is a legend and super talented, but what also captivated me during his set was the incredible Marco Minneman on drums!

Mastodon kicking serious butt last night at Chicago’s iconic Riviera Theater - a great mix of tunes from various eras! 6 tracks from the new album which sounded great and fit in really nicely with classics like Oblivion, Black Tongue, and this one that was my favorite on the night. #Metalsky

Nothing like a symphonic metal band doing a metaled-up Disney medley to fire up my crew! The band is Scardust, from Israel, playing last night at Chicago’s Avondale Music Hall. The rest of their set was their own music - and they were terrific!!! This was their first time in the U.S.

Danny Elfman opened his 2026 tour - his first rock tour in 31 years - at Chicago’s iconic Aragon Ballroom last night, and it certainly did not disappoint! Fun mix of his solo rock material and plenty of Oingo Boingo classics!!!

Amazing show last night from John Mitchell, doing 100% Lonely Robot songs, with help from Edison‘s Children’s Rick Armstrong, at Monforti Manor in Chicago. I didn’t even know about this gig until John posted about it yesterday. So awesome to get to hear him do some Lonely Robot material live!
