Made someone angry by driving safely/at the speed limit this evening. They spent a few minutes flashing high beams and honking at me for no apparent reason. I am aware that doing 60 through roadworks (90 normally) is frustrating af, I have to go through there at peak hour. Not gonna speed for you.

So I managed to figure out where these pics were taken, and roughly when, but would be awesome if we could find out who the people are. Waikikian hotel Honolulu (now Hilton Grand), somewhere around 1956-59.

Not sure if the storm caused the migraine, or if it's my body's revenge for having a massive few weeks with little rest, not to mention the injured back. Anyway all day in bed with a few naps, and managed to eat eventually.

This includes intersections. Turn them down just in case someone goes by. And for fucks sake get them leveled and focused once in a while (also a legal/roadworthy requirement). Possum spotting = eyeball melting. Also no spotlights in town or traffic, and not allowed above the headlights.

Head and tail lights on. Legally required once street lights come on, and at ALL times in low visibility (e.g rain). Fog or running lights alone do not activate your tail lights (on most cars). High beams are illegal in town and when another car is visible ahead of you, in any direction of travel.

If you're too fucking stupid to correctly and safely operate your car's headlights, you probably shouldn't have your licence. You definitely shouldn't be driving an uber.

Chinese electric vehicles have become the focus of a new security scare, but connected cars from every country carry cybersecurity risks. Australia needs stronger protections without allowing fear of China to derail the clean energy transition.
