Being a good scientist means being able to look at a complex system & make sense of it, without buffing it so smooth you lose truth. Complex systems are confusing. The data is sometimes messy. Over-simplifying by putting things in boxes (or- ahem- binaries) is doing a bad job of understanding it.

What's the best way to introduce yourself to Bsky? Sharing a fav, new paper! doi.org/10.1016/j.ti... Children's media use is rising, leading to concerns it impacts their language development. I argue that instead of focusing on "how much" screen time kids have, we should "how" it is being used.
