Problematic article. It implies Rep. is a weak, poor victim. And not an adult professional given power by the people to represent them. If she had any dignity or integrity she should have resigned. Enough with the victimization of and undeserved sympathy to fascist collaborators.

There’s been a kind of…fashion of late to view anti-Trump libs as lame and cringe and just annoying, aesthetically. I remember this exact same aesthetic judgment in the run-up to the Iraq war. The earnest libs were right then and they’re right now.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world. Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

Truly one of the best essays I’ve read in a while on how Netflix and the streaming model have changed film and television for the worse. Netflix sold investors, reporters, and the public a fantasy that’s not only eroding the film business, but doing its part to degrade film as a cultural medium.

As Schultz began to wrap up at the Hyatt, he veered to a story he’d heard from a rabbi in Israel. Nazis gave just one blanket to every six people sent on rail cars to concentration camps, Schultz recounted, but most victims chose to share them. That story was “threaded” into Starbucks’ essence, too.
