TFW your AI agent "has the full picture" and you hope it's true, but deep inside you know the truth...

Claude is getting worse every day now. I don't see how behavior like this should ever get into production.

Can some LLM expert explain to me why Claude keeps on using bizarre language like "X has landed" and "Y is load-bearing" when we are neither piloting an aircraft nor discussing building architecture? These are uncommon turns of phrase. Why would it be so fixated on those?

After trying Claude Fable 5 today and seeing it's objectively much worse than Opus 4.8, I'm ready to replace Claude with anything better. What works well for you? (coding/marketing/sales/operations focuses) @anthropic.com

Claude 4.8's attitude problem 🤓: Claude, do X 🤖: I think Y would be better or Z. Which one: Y or Z? 😅: No, Claude, do X as I asked 🤖: OK, doing X and also Y 🫤: No, Claude, just do X, nothing more 🤖: OK, doing only the 5% of X that overwrites your code 💀: ... @anthropic.com

Honestly, Claude Code is not, in fact, co-authoring anything in my code base, just like Visual Studio Code is not co-authoring anything, nor is any linter co-authoring code. Claude is just a tool that I'm using to write code. #claude #claudecode #spam

Has anyone looked into how many work hours are lost because of the "update on open" idea? You know, when you open an app and can't use it until you update because they added a new feature you don't care about? If users want to open your app but are blocked, they feel powerless and mistreated.

Marco Cecconi @sklivvz.bsky.social · 08/04/2026
In the last 7–10 days, Claude Code started “peddling” its first idea. If you force it to research, it keeps injecting that idea anyway, even after you tell it to drop it. Push harder, and it asks you for the solution. Anyone else seeing this regression?

Engineering dashboards tell you what happened. They usually don’t tell you why lead time spiked, what changed, or what to try next. I built Positron Flux to track DORA metrics, surface likely drivers, and help teams run improvements. Early access: positronflux.com 🚀🚀🚀

Gas Town is problematic, and using it will either waste a lot of time or result in lost code. It continually makes trivial mistakes. It attempted to delete every branch from my GitHub without a second thought, and it runs with bypass permissions enabled. 🚨Do not use it.🚨

About two dozen engineering leaders took my delivery excellence survey. Harsh truth: most teams have no systematic way to get better. We can do way better than this. Do these resonate? Disagree? Answer in a reply positronflux.com/survey-resul...

When people say "Cloudflare duplicated Next.js with Claude by reusing the unit tests", they are missing the point. You need to see this as a new form of fork. Code needs to be evolved and maintained. Who will nurture and grow the Cloudflare spin-off?

Big shoutout to the teams who build great APIs, OAuth apps, and integrations 🙌 When DX is great, everything just works and you barely notice. When it’s bad, every gotcha becomes days of pain and you question betting on that company 😬

One of the nicest perks of AI-assisted coding is being able to rebase with AI fixing the conflicts semantically. It was so disrupting to do this manually! Literally saves days of work! 🚀

Last night I finally emulated my childhood: Z80 + ULA + MonoGame = a working ZX Spectrum, built from scratch in .NET 10. I wrote about what the machine meant to me, and about five games that shaped how I think about software design without me realising it at the time. sklivvz.com/posts/i-fina...

Last night I decided to dedicate some time to my old [z80 emulator](https://sklivvz.com/posts/z80). I've squashed a few bugs and ported it to .NET 10. Then I added a ULA emulator.

I have been building connectors for an app I am writing using Claude Code. Building connector #1 took 2 days. Connector #2 took 4h. Connector #3 took 18m (!). Now I am building 5 connectors in parallel. The productivity I am experiencing is unparalleled. It feels very good! 🚀🤖

Sustainable delivery means nobody has to be the hero. Teams that struggle depend on specific people to save them when fires blaze up. Everyone treats them like a savior. But this doesn't scale. Those people burn out or leave, and what looked like lean execution was actually debt compounding.
Dog in a burning house stating that "this is fine."

In my 30 years of career, I've observed that many companies struggle with delivering code efficiently. Code means product features and value. They often find themselves stuck or slowed down to a crawl without perhaps realizing it or acknowledging the issue to themselves.

My YouTube channel reached 25k subscribers. 5k watch it from outside Italy, with subtitles / dubbed audio, regardless of the fact 80% of the videos are in Italian (soon or later I'll explain the why of this choice). I'm happy about this: YouTube is becoming a cultural media.

I just posted this on Linked In, but @codinghorror.bsky.social talked about this many times. In 2025, it is still so relevant. In fact @antirez.bsky.social live solved this in his YouTube channel. The question remains: why so many developers cannot write code?
