Happy Birthday to the boy, Fwukipap! Spending the day vibing with his husband - Anti @inanis-umbra.bsky.social

"Happy Birthday Fwuki! June 11th" Fwuki (OC) staring fondly at his husband, Anti (friend's OC). Anti's hand is visible in frame, implying they're speaking. A cake is set on the table, decorated with fruits, syrup, and frosting.

Also it's fun to discuss writing regardless lmao

For some they'll break down decades later because a trigger just hit. They'll have parts of themselves lost permanently or never be able to trust something that felt innocent again. And as far as I can tell, it hasn't been that long since Kit started going on missions.

Sketch [they/them] - Comms Open! @sketchyjessie.com · 19/05/2026

But the way y'all are critiquing it honestly feels disrespectful to real actual trauma, which is where I think I'm actually upset and not just thinking differently. People don't magically just lock in and get over it, and while Kit is fictional, fiction is meant to reflect real emotions.

100

Sketch [they/them] - Comms Open! @sketchyjessie.com · 19/05/2026

Of course she's hesitant, of course she's panicing, she's essentially reliving the worst day of her life over and over in the hopes of saving others. I do agree the pacing of the pilot is kinda wack and some of the writing decisions are annoying.

100

Sketch [they/them] - Comms Open! @sketchyjessie.com · 19/05/2026

I disagree? Starting Kit as competent and then building to her flipping out isn't a bad decision perse, but starting her out as extremely flawed is reasonable. In a literal sense she is "potential man" because her arc has just started. We saw her entire world destroyed by her choices.

100

Sketch [they/them] - Comms Open! @sketchyjessie.com · 19/05/2026

She's really not passive, just freezes a lot. She still makes choices, still fights. Also people don't move on from trauma and the cast clearly didn't either. Yes Gobbles grew a lot as a character, but none of them are past the annihilation of their homes.

Sketch [they/them] - Comms Open! @sketchyjessie.com · 19/05/2026

I admittedly haven't watched Murder Drones yet, but I've watched the other pilots and shows and there's a clear trend of horror content. It's not like the pilot is flawless, but this kind of take seems to ignore the actual text and expect a different character entirely.

Sketch [they/them] - Comms Open! @sketchyjessie.com · 19/05/2026

This take is baffling like - imo it's a good thing that she's responding like a person and not just locking in to save the day. But also the line about Glitch protags is especially strange because what Glitch protagonist isn't a deeply flawed and traumatized person?

Zinny, a young werewolf woman, in an outfit reminiscent of Ancient Greece's fashion, her hair in curled style and held up in a cloth wrap, jewelry at a bare minimum.

Search engines are really meant to find relevant pages, not directly answer the question for you. Companies shove bad quality conveniences because that's appealing, but there are ways to differentiate decent sources from trash. Does that page have authority on the subject or evidence?

Ain't no way an English speaker was bitching about the pronunciation of a Japanese name. Our shit is so inconsistent, Japanese is a breeze in comparison.

120

Sketch [they/them] - Comms Open! @sketchyjessie.com · 10/05/2026

But if it's "I'm not even going to try", that's chud shit. The resources are there! You can often look up how pronunciation works for the language in general and videos of people saying the name. If you don't know the language for said name, there's probably a site that will tell you.

The only case I enjoy that personally is when they mean "I genuinely tried but may have fucked it up." I've seen YouTubers that will record themselves looking up the word and then practicing it, though I could see that being annoying if you're used to being alienated for a foreign name.

I got a cheap water gun pack to cool myself off in a whimsical way and only noticed the fatal error the second I used one... (☉_ ☉)

Doodle of me putting a watergun to my chin to spray water on myself and cool off. Basically the jarring image of me happily cooling off vs putting a gun to my own head.

There is genuinely nothing a human can comprehend that isn't a fetish to someone. It genuinely would take censoring all media to avoid that. Plus ye women existing is weirdly sexualized. Being fat is a kink. Breasts are a kink. Exposed skin is a kink. Kill the Victorian in your head y'all!

I've started taking photos way more often and it's very fun. I see a cool thing (usually art or flowers), and stop for a bit to enjoy and immortalize it.

Experimenting with eye scars in character design, ft. a humanized version of Anti ( @inanis-umbra.bsky.social ) where I tried to translate his cracked eye with human scarring. #characterdesign #ocsky #doodle #sketcg

Character doodle with a scar over right eye, the eye mostly closed due to the injury.

Humanized design of Umbra's OC Anti with scars on right eye mean to parallel the canon cracked eye injury. Eye has scattered scarring and the iris/retina are damaged.

I voted for Biden and repeatedly expressed my expectations on Palestine publicly and through more direct means like letters. Not once did that fucker listen or remotely back down on Palestine. I only vote Dem because they at least aren't actively trying to kill me, but they don't really deserve it.

I think most characters wouldn't mind partaking. My fantasy setting doesn't have straight up weed, but I imagine natural plants plus mages fucking around has made all flavor of substance, including a weed parallel.

I've heard python has a decent library for dealing with data. Don't know the specific library well, but python is a bit more user friendly to start with imo.

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?
