they still haven’t addressed the massive backlash to this. not a single word for the thousands of people demanding answers on the insane overreach of these guidelines. they’re going to just wait for us all to leave and then the site will die just like tumblr and they just. don’t seem to care!

Colossally bad timing for BlueSky to brag when you’re under fire for banning progressive accounts.

Hey, ONCE AGAIN. If you want to strengthen your rules, strengthen those against hate speech. Hate speech is not and never will be a productive dialogue. Provide better content filtering options. The user base has created several great labelers on their own. Censorship of art is not the answer.

Yet another company caving to right-wing, america-centric puritanism. Artists, furries and sex workers MADE your site, only for you to now throw them under the bus.

How is it that it almost never fails that a website will get popular off of lax NSFW rules only to pull the rug once they've gotten popular?

As someone who was taken advantage of as a minor, if I see things I don't like I click those amazing buttons like "block" or "hide this post for me." I disagree with this censorship. It's not helpful to anyone and only causes future harm bc once an inch is given, corporations come to take a mile.

Censorship is never ok. Do better, Bluesky. And the rest of us? We better be making a big stink. I want to see more than that 14,000+ people giving feedback, I want to see organized boycott/log-off days and events.

And so, it seems that even BlueSky wants to join the bigoted censorship that reigns supreme on social media. Shame! I'd like to say it surprises me, but... U_u #bskycensorship PS We're not participating in #blueskyblackout2025 ...think the worst thing we can do is censor ourselves. #nsfwart
