Pay attention to who cheers on your wins. Who makes sure you look after yourself, even in little ways. Who is there to listen when you’ve had a bad day. Or are stressed out. Or trying and failing. Pay attention to who makes you feel seen and heard and loved and cared for. Those are your people.

Seriously, I think The Muppets/The Muppet Show is something *everyone* loves. Everyone! I don't know anyone who hasn't laughed at the series. The recent offering with Sabrina Carpenter was fantastic. **chants** Muppets! Muppets! Muppets!

Writinge about literature ys not undirstondinge a booke completelye and then sayinge somethinge clever. It ys, by contrast, failinge agayne and agayne to undirstonde a booke completelye and makinge the moost descryptive notes possible about the resultes. Meaninge ys a process, not a schoolboy prize.

Reminder: 1. You don't need to have an opinion on everything, especially stuff you don't know enough about 2. You don't need to have a PUBLIC opinion on everything 3. It's okay to focus on one or two things and let others take up the slack elsewhere 4. It's okay to take a break when overwhelmed.

A creator ys an embodied being existinge yn a gloriouslye, terrifyinglye complicated interweavinge of tymes, places, cultures, languages and historyes. Everye act of creacioun ys made complex and unpredictable by those frictiouns and connectiouns. Gen A.I. hath none of that.

The ‘dog days’ of summer get their name due to their association with the Dog Star, Sirius, found in the constellation Canis Major. The first visible rising of Sirius occurs during the hot stretch from early July to early September. Woof.

I love getting details from people. I love explanations and soft offerings of sweetness. The gentle bits we share with each other, even if we have to do it slant. The marrow of life is not in the flash, but the warmth.

Care. Care too much. Care loudly. Care softly. Care with your whole heart. Nothing in life can keep us from the dark. But showing care lights a candle. Helps us find the fireflies that see us through. If I worry about extending a hand, I hope I always err on the side of being too much.

I love verses like Matthew 14:27. The disciples are out in a boat on the sea and Jesus comes toward them, walking on the water. They are—understandably—freaked out. “But Jesus immediately said to them: ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.’” God with us. Right here. Right now. Immediately.
