First day at this year’s Ultracon in Artist Alley! It’ll take a little bit to get used to selling in-person again. Thankfully, Petty Rhymes and Devouring Things has a great cover where people come up with the questions! Artist link here!: @amberharrisart.bsky.social

I picked up a “King” Gshock GX56 and it is absurdly large. A regular square looks like a barnacle next to it. Buying more than one Gshock really does lead to interesting places.

Sears Citation (with accompanying case!) which was made by Smith-Corona. I actually rehabbed this one from my grandfather. Never had any issues using it, but it is rarely used.

Picked up a new Speedtimer! (Seiko SSC 923) I’m usually not a fan of PVD, but this with the green lume markers really pops. Being solar-powered is a real selling point for me now. Super easy to pick up and not worry about

Draft2Digital has about 330,000 authors in its system. If 70% of those authors earn less than $100, that's 231,000 accounts that will be charged the $12 fee, which is $2.7 million in reoccurring revenue. In two years it'll get upped to $14 to "fight spam". This is staying and only ever increasing.

These recent Tudors all have been looking great! I keep wishing the markers are lume blocks with the tops painted black though, like Farer did with the Perlarum.

It’s a cool service they have. Luckily the story was modern enough to get it done, since the figure options are limited. The small ghost representing Orion does get dislodged easily, so the whole thing needs to be shaken until he falls back into place, which can sort of mess everything else up

I had some Funkos made of Rooney and Sunday when Petty Rhymes and Devouring Things was first completed. Just to make something real to celebrate that the story is real.

Swat Kats was great! For some reason, it occupies the same part of my brain that Eek the cat and Samurai Pizza Cats. I have the Burger King toy on my desk where the cars crash into each other and break apart.

Absolutely! It’s nice to have something to commemorate all the work and accomplishment! I bought watches to commemorate this new series and they always have that special connection tied to them.

Finally picked up one of Colareb’s animal-free leather watch bands. The Strapple bands are made of apples instead! Super curious how it handles to wear over time

Unreal feeling that it’s been 8 years between releases. I started this novel about April 2020, and it dramatically changed throughout the process. I wanted a ghost story where the protagonist couldn’t see the ghosts, and it became so much more than that

Westminster Abbey (just missed the last tour)

River Thames (quite nice at this time of day)
