Took 5 hours to get passwords reset because the self-service tools did not work. Also meant I had to walk to the office because you can’t sync your laptop’s local password when not on the network. Rest of the afternoon spent letting it install all the mandatory updates IT rolled out last week 😂

I am, but the con itself doesn't start until tomorrow. It's too miserably hot (for me) to wander around outside the building today so there won't really be any cool pictures until tomorrow when I am inside.

It was pretty good. "Sting of Death" is a good choice for MST3K; weird enough that I wasn't bored but not interesting enough that I get mad when they riff over the plot.

“My computer is being weird so I’m asking CoPilot what to do. I don’t want to talk to IT.” While I’m all for trying to troubleshoot stuff before dealing with the help desk, this seems like a great way to end up losing even more time when they have to wipe your machine and reinstall everything 😓

A little birdie told us it’s a new week, and you know what that means! 🪶 Flock to the comments for today’s #MogMonday!

A Blood Elf woman stands in Eversong Woods wearing an elegant elven-inspired transmog. The outfit features purple and gold armor with crescent moon motifs on the shoulders and a circlet with a glowing moon centerpiece. A luminous bird companion perches on one hand, while a gnarled wooden staff on the character’s back emits orange magical energy from its twisted crown. Golden-leaved trees frame the scene, with grass, a winding footpath, and a bridge visible in the background, highlighting the warm autumn colors of Eversong Woods.

While I agree that posing as other employees is a vital part of the testing, I do wish they’d picked some other format than a “thanks for doing a good job” email. Even the people who didn’t get caught are bummed out that what looked like a message of appreciation was just IT testing them.

110

Nemo2342 @skeleton.fyi · 16/07/2026

Apparently a lot of them people are pissed at IT toying with their emotions like this. Makes me wonder how many people got caught.
