Oh def there are some char combos that don’t lend themselves to connections like that; maybe a one-off chance encounter ~at best~. But still, given a sensible enough premise, there are few better ways to show/develop characters as individuals than by seeing how they interact with one another.

I imagine plenty folks (self incl.) would prefer a "smaller world" with character relations that feel thoughtfully written (even if a bit contrived/improbable) to a "larger world" that reads like isolated bubbles scattered across a void. But it's not my story, so maybe my priorities are out of line.

Parasite is my favorite enemy in the game. I think eternal as a mechanic is under-utilized, and I'm sad that the only (non-SSN) way to create eternal tiles is using Red Tape to convert wildcards to eternal (which bucks the whole double-edged conceit of the status and is just boringly useful).

I find myself thinking, “hey nuking fights as fast as possible with piles of crits is starting to feel a bit cheesy; I might have more fun if stacked multipliers had diminishing returns and the game rewarded a more even mix of aggro vs defensive plays,” but I wanna see if that’d hold up in practice.
