Went for a hike through the local park today to get some exercise. A lot of folks out fishing and walking today. The crisp autumn air makes for some really nice outdoor activity! #nature #photography

I have some really fun ideas for creative projects I'd like to do! Now if only I could find the time and motivation to them.

Because it's October, maybe I should change my name and pfp to something spooky? Maybe something covered in muscles and skin?

[2026 OC Art] 🔥 Fed & Fired Up 🔥 (Sorry for the wait!) #oc #ocart #comic

Panel 1: Ray snoozes soundly in bed as smoke floats in along the top of the panel

SFX: Snooooooore….

Panel 2: Ray is aroused from slumber as he smells the smoke.

SFX: sniff sniff….

Panel 3: Fully awake, Ray quickly sits up in shock. He mutters “…Fire.”

Panel 4: Ray runs down the stairs to the bathroom, then to a closet, then down to the lowest floor as he changes outfits and makes a brave proclamation along the way.

“There are flames afoot! Worry not, for Sir Raymond of the Fire Knights shall act posthaste! The inferno shall meet the swiftest of ends by my hand! None shall perished or be wounded by fire in presence! So it shall stand ready in fear of my arrival!!”

Panel 5: Ray swings open the kitchen door, pointing his spear forward into the room that is red with the glow of flames.

“Attention!” He shouts “Where are the flames that must be dealt with?”

Panel 6: Connie, his roommate, turns to Ray in panic as the stovetop burns behind her.

“Ray! I messed up!!” She exclaims. “I over-boiled a bowl of oatmeal!! I didn’t even know that stuff was flammable!”

Panel 7: Ray steps forward, giving Connie his spear as he proclaims with a determinedly-raised fist.

“Worry not, fair Connie! These pitiful flames shall be vanquished…by me…”

Panel 8: Ray whips out a red book, titled as the “Fire Knights Code of Conduct”

Ray: “…and the unbeatables tactics taught to all Knights of the realm!”

Panel 1: Ray flips through the pages of his handbook, muttering to himself as Connie stands behind him, clutching his spear.

Ray: “Let’s see here……no……armor maintenance……no…”

Panel 2: Landing on the right page, Ray begins to read from the book as Connie seems to detense.

Ray: “Ah, here we are. Article 15.2. ‘Before proceeding with extinguishing protocol, please be sure all nearby citizens are beyond 100 feet from the fire.”

Panel 3: Ray looks back over his shoulder at Connie, inquiring her with a raised brow: “Ms. Connie, would you say you’re beyond 100 feet from the fire?”

Connie: “What? No! Does that really matter right now? Just put out the fire, man!”

Panel 4: Ray turns back around towards Connie raising a finger as he begins to lecture her. The fire in the background grows in size as this happens.

Ray: “Of course it matters, fires are dangerous and susceptible to spreading and growing quickly! It is simply protocol to ensure everyone involved is safe!”

Panel 5: Connie gestures to growing fire.

Connie: Well that fire is growing bigger and more unsafe the longer you let it sit there, don’t you think?

Panel 6: Ray turns back to the fire, frowning determinedly as Connie smiles in relief.

Ray: “Egads! You’re right! This fire must be dealt with at once!”

Connie: “Yesss!”

Panel 7: Ray turns back to Connie, pointing at her as her smile quickly fades.

Ray: “But first you’ll have to back away 102 feet! Maybe 107!”

Panel 1: Connie blows up right in Ray’s face, who is undeterred in the face of her rage.

Connie: “oh…my….GOD! CAN YOU NOT BE A DENSE STUCK-UP FOR FIVE SECONDS AND JUST PUT OUT THE FIRE!? I’M NOT EVEN IN THE WAY BETWEEN YOU AND THE FIRE!!”

Panel 2:

“Well, I’m sorry! All I am trying to do is my job! It is no fault of mine that you cannot grasp the concept of taking orders, following protocol, and doing things correctly!”

Panel 3: Connie takes a deeeeep breath.

Panel 4: Connie smiles, her aggression disappearing.

“Ahh, Golly-gee, Ray! You’re right!” Connie says “I haven’t been handling this correctly, have I?”

Panel 5: Connie grips Ray’s spear in her hands, holding it up.

Connie: “Let me fix that by showing you the right thing to do in this situation!”

Panel 6: Connie slams the bottom of the spear down hard onto Rays foot, causing him to yelp “YOW!” as he involuntarily sprays water from his hose tail, instantly extinguishing the flames behind him.

Panel 7: Ray falls to the ground, clutching his foot as tears well up in his eyes. Connie looks down at him, pitying his pathetic display.

Connie: “Now was that so hard?”

Ray: “Eeaeuh….”

Real talk. I am a sucker for soft tune love songs that tell the story about how love... true love, is not a feeling of fireworks or butterflies, but a calm assuring feeling that you just know is right. It's the feeling I've always had with my wife, and it's one I cherish.
