To be honest, I'm all for jumping on their backs but this one is pretty usual. They're a specialist recruitment company so it's quite usual in this case. Who knows what shitty brief they've given though.

A lot of players at that level have fewer options so willing to take a gamble for security and a few from the recent crop are coming back so know what to expect. Also, some are getting their first chance in league. The strategy is clear yet is wedded to pragmaticism / gambles rather than style.
