52nd place in RC LA playing izzet prowess, which was absolutely unreal! Big thanks to @makememesnotwar.bsky.social for being the best testing partner and @kmcsleevesusa.bsky.social for the support and high quality products. Looking forward to the upcoming RC’s! :)

After making day 2 in Baltimore, and getting my first feature match to represent @kmcsleevesusa.bsky.social, I’ve got a shipment just before LA :). I cannot wait to sleeve up my prowess deck and get back on the saddle with high quality hyper mats. Hopefully I will see y’all there!

Another epic mail day from the GOATS @kmcsleevesusa.bsky.social ! Got both my invites for this season using their product and very excited to have more for upcoming projects like a cube and some testing gauntlets. Cannot recommend these enough!

Had an amazing time in Atlanta this weekend, going 8-4 with Draven in the Riftbound Regional Qualifier. Deck felt strong and I learned a lot. @kmcsleevesusa.bsky.social provided the gear that helped me perform, and I am very excited to continue to use their product.

What bracket(s) are you finding this less effective in? I hadn’t played with the card until recently and have found it to be very useful in bracket 2, but I can imagine brackets 3+ aren’t about what the map provides. Specifically I added it to Eirdu, and likely will be adding to Bre of clan stoutarm

This month’s @kmcsleevesusa.bsky.social delivery was absolutely amazing!!! Very big fan of the Mox Box and adding another to my collection is beyond exciting. Will be at Magic Con Vegas and RC’s DC and Cincinnati, and thankful that I have the best gear for them. :0)

Just got home from time spent with family during the holidays, and the best Christmas present I could ask for was waiting for me to return, @kmcsleevesusa.bsky.social perfect black sleeves! Going to be using these for the Riftbound Regionals in Vegas later next month!

They start putting full movies on the Twitter timeline that aren’t just “Madagascar”, you let me know. Until then, I’m watching a bunch of movies over the course of a year through 15 second clips of each per day, and hoping to god that the next day has the next clip for each of em

Won a summoners skirmish with Miss Fortune Aurora to secure the Blitzcrank playmat and a bye in Vegas! Could not have done it without @kmcsleevesusa.bsky.social’s awesome sleeves! Looking forward to set 2 and more events.

Went 8-6 in Houston with Izzet Prowess, which was my first Day 2 in an RC. Definitely have been growing as a player, and @kmcsleevesusa.bsky.social have been with me every step of the way. Very excited for Vegas!

Another weekend, another RCQ victory! Played pretty stock mono red and got the qual, in large part thanks to @kmcsleevesusa.bsky.social for the high quality gear. Highly recommend the deck and the sleeves :0)

Mail day from @kmcsleevesusa.bsky.social, with their clear outers that are perfect for Riftbound TCG. Was lucky enough to get sample decks from gencon, which the different card backs are clear & visible using these. Highly recommend for anyone, especially those interested in riftbound :0)

Just hit infinite in Marvel Snap with this deck. The game is great and feels skill expressive, but is quick enough to not eat up too much time per game. Excellent work @MARVELSNAP !!

Mail day for KMC Sleeves! The quality is present every step of the way (I am a big fan of the new packaging my shipment came in). Very excited to sleeve up some different decks for grinding RCQ’s for my second invite this season. Thank you @kmcsleevesusa !! Best in the biz 4 sure

Just finished the main series for Adventure Time last night, and would highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t seen it. Wrote it off as a less mature show growing up but I can vouch that it is worth watching every episode. Some silliness for sure but in an extremely charming way. :0)

KMC Mail Day! Always a treat getting a new shipment and the Phoenix sleeves are the moves :0). Shuffle easily, extremely durable, and look stylish. Very excited to use these for RC Hartford next month! @kmcsleevesusa

I remember asking a member of the former rules committee for commander about why Gifts Ungiven was still banned but intuition was okay a year or so ago. Was told “because 3 is different than 4” without really anymore explanation. Frustrated me at the time but excited to play with it now :0)

Your guy stays cultured. Watched season 1 when it came out, took the hiatus on the chin and season 2 made the wait more than worth it. Hate that Ben Stiller appears to be a Zionist, show is good tho. Would be happy to chat about it whenever :0)

I was surprised at the rate this currently exists at with Tarmogoyf’s nest, especially compared to this. Definitely could be fun if you were an “enchant land” deck with squirrel’s nest, this, and Tarmogoyf’s nest, and in other colors you get bangers like underworld connections

000

Sean Beardsley @sixer601.bsky.social · 17/01/2025

I tried… a bunch. It’s just a little too underwhelming rn, especially when domain just goes over the top of all of it. Thornvault forager is nuts with roots, but I just think that it’s not efficient enough to compete with something like pixie and too small ball to compete with domain.

000

Sean Beardsley @sixer601.bsky.social · 15/01/2025

I think answering 2.5 cards for 2 mana is okay, but largely I think it won’t actually be 2 cards worth from the seek, and would only seem good if you’re already ahead, as if you’re behind spending mana to stop them from closing the door isn’t changing your position, just making it not worse imo.

010

Sean Beardsley @sixer601.bsky.social · 13/01/2025

This series was awesome, and I really enjoyed learning about some cards I would’ve never glanced at. One card that struck me as powerful and fun is delaying shield, as it is very effective at preventing the loss of the monarch. Thank you for taking the time to have done these daily :0)

Working on a project of mine (making an edh deck for each 3 color pair) and broke goldfish’s deck display bc I had too many individual cards. Massaged the data & re fed it into the app, it displayed but now it is stuck loading to see what I’m missing from my collection. Been like this for 20 minutes

Might be one of my favorite cards all time, the team working on MH3 did a fantastic job ensuring that this card was powerful, but clearly not powerful enough to overtake any format. It also does a fantastic job of reminding/teaching folks how busted the original necropotence was/is.

Necrodominance {B}{B}{B}
Legendary Enchantment

Skip your draw step.

At the beginning of your end step, you may pay any amount of life. If you do, draw that many cards.

Your maximum hand size is five.

If a card or token would be put into your graveyard from anywhere, exile it instead.

If y’all aren’t doing the standard metagame challenge on arena, you’re missing out. Just run a stock list and jam, you break even on gold and get some free packs at like 3-1, and it’s ridiculously easy to just go infinite :0).

Has anyone else tried an insidious roots deck in foundations standard? It feels like there is a very powerful interaction there, but every build I make/iterate on seems to be falling flat for one reason or another. If others have insight, I would be very interested! My list for reference:

4 Cache Grab
4 Overlord of the Balemurk
4 Insidious Roots
3 Scavenging Ooze
3 Thornvault Forager
3 Agatha's Soul Cauldron
4 Mosswood Dreadknight
3 Go for the Throat
3 Tyvar, Jubilant Brawler
4 Llanowar Elves
2 Haywire Mite
2 Honest Rutstein
4 Blooming Marsh
4 Llanowar Wastes
2 Underground Mortuary
2 Restless Cottage
1 Demolition Field
5 Forest
3 Swamp

3 Dreams of Steel and Oil
2 Haywire Mite
3 Duress
4 Pawpatch Formation
3 Maelstrom Pulse

Umezawa's Jitte, Commander's Plate, Konda's Banner, Scythe of the Wretched, Lost Jitte, Pip-Boy 3000, Gavel of the Righteous, Blackblade Reforged, Empyrial Plate, Seraphic Greatsword would all be in my considerations :0)

Helpful Hunter, Generous Pup and Skyknight Squire appear to be the only ones that are new from Foundations (and jumpstart). 3 types in one deck is quite a feat to make sure everything is cohesive, especially with a lurrus restriction as well, and deck looks like a lot of fun :0)
