I refused to watch The Nightmare before Christmas because I was scared of Oogie Boogie. I also remember being at a friend's house and Buffy was on TV and I hid my face in the chair when I think The Master iirc and the other vampires came up

Someone's gotta put those brain gremlins in time-out. But seriously adding another voice over theirs that you do matter and take care of yourself. And I hope you keep having fun with FoS despite the stressors that come with it

My experience with the Oracle games was getting stuck a lot, restarting and fizzling out in Ages. I'd never played Seasons but I've been hesitant about going back to the pair. I'm glad this mood came along to try again. And I fully intend to give Ages another go sometime after, though not right away

Siver @siverwrites.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I usually lean toward the 3D Zeldas, but once in a blue moon the right mood strikes and a 2D one just hits good. I'm a having a fun time with Oracle of Seasons.

Huh, didn't realise Crypt of the Necrodancer was from a Canadian studio Got a few more The Messenger - platformer/metroivania-ish same studio as Sea of Stars Venba - small narrative cooking game The Crimson Diamond - retro inspired mystery adventure game

Watched my sister playing Breath of the Wild and I started Oracle of Seasons tonight, which I've never played before. I've only played part of Ages. Doubled up on the Zelda tonight!

Ughhh! Bad luck. He kept running right up to it my first try so I kept expecting him to get wiped on me but he somehow survived until everyone went down

010

Siver @siverwrites.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Yes! But they really went all out with this and the creepy sheep fusion and it's so fun to see

010

Siver @siverwrites.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

YEP. And I was absolutely thinking of Sylvando Lost my first try thanks to it doing it a second time and everyone getting confused right after I just fixed it and what a way to go... 😂

Siver @siverwrites.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I assume carp? 😆 Friend and I are always calling carp crap deliberately due to past annoyance of always getting them instead of a needed pearl glass for a request, so this is extra funny to me

Siver @siverwrites.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Incredible upgrade to this thing's ability. Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter. Request before leaving Ch.2's region. Really trying to dodge spoiling anything for anyone. Very Dragon Quest feeling attack and effects... Not graphic, just spoil tagging.

This is a little different, sidescrolling and puzzling in keeping care of your vehicle or opening the way for it, more than actual platforming, but FAR: Lone Sails may be of interest to you? I took a risk on it and ended up enjoying it a lot more than I expected. Not a long game only 3-4 hours

I think Sky, but it's a real tight race with Crossbell. My tentative order would be Sky Crossbell Daybreak (including Horizon) Cold Steel

Siver @siverwrites.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

☕💖 I'm definitely glad you didn't back off entirely and I hope you enjoy the journey ahead of you! And slightly envious you have so much ahead of you. I had a bit of a backlog but all caught up now aside from the remakes which are doing a great job of staving off the wait anyway! I dearly love Sky

Siver @siverwrites.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Congrats! And hopefully that means further restocks in the future if needed. My sister's husband wants to get her one so here's hoping they last long enough on the Canadian side for him to snag...

Siver @siverwrites.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

It's nicest when you can go in order of course, but CS would've been a fine start, at least 1 and 2... hmph on getting told off. Oo trying to be vague for others' sake but meeting a certain someone in SC had to be some whiplash after seeing them in Daybreak first :D. Character's come a long way!

Siver @siverwrites.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

FC lets you get to know the characters and Liberl so SC can wallop your emotions 💖. That tends to be how Trails arcs go: first game gets you settled in so next games can ramp things up

🙄Beyond the obvious rudeness, say their little made up scenario was true, what on earth would the 'son' here be getting out of doing that?? You have us all 'so fooled' he's a non-entity. People are so ridiculous. Or just trolling, which is also ridiculous

The scene of the grandmaster doing his thing getting zapped felt like it just went on and on and on and for what?? Elkund attacks George, Russo saves him by killing Elkund... then we end up blowing everyone up! What was the sword of baphomet? Who knows!

120

Siver @siverwrites.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

It was a joint effort to be fair. He gets the fire on the gun powder going and she throws the c-4. But just...UGH. She doesn't really get to do very much which is also annoying

120

Siver @siverwrites.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

I have the second game remastered on Steam. Dunno how it compares to the original second. Don't know if I'll ever find out. Maybe if I get hit with another combo of masochism and morbid curiosity but currently, nah, I'm done.

110

Siver @siverwrites.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

It never was clear why George even got involved in it all. Revenge? Curiosity? Interest in history? I don't know! I'd take any flimsy reason at this point over no reason. I don't even know what I can really say about his character beyond being a prick regularly. A jealous prick.
