Aw cheers! And yeah! The biggest tip I can give is to avoid flat surfaces if you want things to look pleasing. By that, I mean - even if a wall or pillar should be straight, add a little edge loop to break up the line and add a kink. Even tarmac roads have a curve to them instead of flatness.
