I have to be real about this, this is a huge find! A vintage teddy bear with clothes tailored to him, made with good fabric, the hoodie has a functional zipper and buttons, the pants have actual pockets and a hole for his tail. He has a tail! You just don't find plush toys of this quality nowadays.

This medicine is life changing for me so far! I'm on top of the things I've been meaning to do but have been procrastinating on. I took the time to make a checklist. Today, I went to the DMV to file for a new ID cause my old one expired AND mailed out my Tax return. AND finished my homework early!

3:6 But an idea isn't a finished product, it's raw material. Think of it like cooking. You don't refuse to buy vegetables because you don't want to eat them raw. You buy them, chop them up, heat them, and add seasonings. Ideas are the same way. A "bad" idea is just one that you haven't cooked.

6:6 On its own, the idea of having a society without the concept of parenthood is flawed, but combined with other things, it works. So I guess the point is: stop trying to have good ideas, and start trying to have ANY ideas. Quantity should come before quality. That's the essence of brainstorming.

4:6 Writing it down is the only way to flesh it out. On paper, you can ask questions like "what if I swap this detail for a new one?" One example from my worldbuilding project: "A society without family units." On paper, such a society doesn't work on its own.

2:6 It sounds obvious, but most of us don't do this. We tend to filter ourselves before we ever write anything down. The problem isn't that we have bad ideas, but that we treat "bad" as a permanent label. We hear the idea in out head, judge it, and then immediately bury it.

*receives headpat* I mean addiction in the more clinical sense, there's just a lot of muddying of that word with colloquial use. It's not chemically addictive the way cocaine or even caffeine is. My brain has a dopamine deficient baseline, so I'm inclined to partake in things that boost my levels.
