Update: It worked--I was offered the job a few days ago :)

I so wish I could attend this. Looks like it's going to be a great time!

It's been a while (thanks depression), but I finally have a job interview today after two months of applying, and felt the desire to use magic to help me out with it, so here's my first new sigil in months.

A sigil to help nail an interview and get a job

My cards told me that the thing I want to do as a career is something I can in fact do and that it *will* be profitable, but I can't sit and ideate all day and *must* actually put work in, and I feel a little attacked.

(faking a smile) Are you guys all set on your existential horrors, or do we need any refills?

I made this for a friend who lost their wallet a few days before this, gave them instructions on how to cast it, and it worked in literally 48 hours. I don't know why my mind keeps being blown every time I get tangible results so quickly with sigils.

I realized as I was finishing this sigil that it had what looked like half of a pentagram revealed, so I decided to make a physical protection sigil to complete the other half, and a combo sigil of them both

Not sure it means anything, but I hadn't checked out my Daily Discovery on Tidal yet when I had posted this, and am just getting around to it now, and the last song on the mix today is titled the same as the caption I put here. Kind of wild synchronicity.

my daily discovery playlist with the final song listed as "HIT EM WHERE IT HURTS"

Something felt unfinished about this one after I made it, so I haven't done anything with it yet. On my flight earlier today, I realized it had a gaping flaw, so spent some time today patching it.

The quoted sigil with another sigil appended to it in a slightly more cursive style

For anyone interested in both chaos magick and physics, and could serve as a really good introduction to either. It's written in a way that makes all sides of it very easy to understand, even when discussing complex topics. I'm excited to dig into the second part, which is practical (2/3)

I read the first half of this on my plane today, and "as something of a scientist myself," I am in love with the way @robertramsay.org marries relativity, quantum theory, entropy, and chaos theory and makes a very compelling argument for how they describe magical systems. Def a good book to (1/2)

Oh man, I remember finding an earlier version of this on deviant art back in college. I feel like this was one of the things that turned me on to the idea of chaos magick before I was fully ready to leave Christianity and really dive into it.

Here's a curse for a very narrow and specific purpose. I'm not typing the actual intent here, but its creation was catalyzed by events in Minneapolis today. Magick is a great tool for effecting change, but it's also not a replacement for getting out to protests, and taking action. #chaosky #fuckice

My ride to the airport fell through, and literally, as soon as I finished this sigil, I got a text from the person I thought was the longest shot, but would be the most convenient, and they are able to help me out!

I'm traveling tomorrow, and I wanted to create my own "travel safely" sigil, inspired by the vegvísir, but more personalized for me, and incorporating an element meant to reduce annoyances (hopefully).

A sigil in the style of the Scandinavian vegvísir rune of wayfinding.

Thanks! I wondered if that was it in the alt text, or if it was just a fun tag for doing tarot on a Monday 😆

Can I ask what deck this is? I really like the minimalist art style

I love how the paint markers burn in a way where the sigil is still visible on the ash of the paper. Touching the paper causes it to turn to dust, but it holds itself together until jostled.

What a shitty, miserable, attention-seeking person with zero hobbies and therefor zero reason for anyone to be interested in them. A person craving social connection, but too toxic to know how to find it naturally, and probably too emotionally stunted to recognize that underlying need.

I never did anything with my goodreads, so I'm manually entering most of the books I own 🙃 I feel like the pseudo-social media aspect will actually get me to read more, because people can see it and I am a Gemini lmao thanks for turning me on to this!

Thank you! I've found that spending the time and focus on turning sigils into digital art and layering symbols within has been a pretty good way to charge them with energy. :)

More magick for my mental health--to help keep useful thoughts nailed down without letting them disperse until I want them to. #sigil #chaosky #occultsky #witchsky

A sigil glowing gold, with several images overlayed beneath. The background looks like a ribboned sodalite wall with a pair of shadowed ravens fading into it.

I never used an ounce of twitter either, but I love those words. I think they're stupid/funny, which is most of my personality anyway.

That said, I do think something I want to work on this next year is using less supplicating language and presupposing that I'm the one who doesn't know what I'm talking about, or that I'm inconveniencing other people in more situations, especially at work.

I think resolutions are much easier to stick to for me personally when they're made in the spring, which to me is the time when renewal and recommitment just seem natural. Winter sucks for trying to stick to anything other than blankets and tea.

For how into semiotics I am, I own remarkably few books on it, so adding this to the list for sure! It sounds very interesting.

Good stuff! I need solid magickal reference books as reference books are some of my favorite to pick through, and ancient forms of magick and their modern applications have always been really interesting to me.

Chaos by Gleick is fantastic, and I *should* own it, and the Invisibles has been on my list for years! I have heard of a couple of the others you mentioned, but haven't read any of them, so adding them to the list.
