[PIC] Sunlight streams through an open window [TEXT] Lord, meet us in the ache of what didn’t come to pass - the dream we held so tightly that now sits empty in our hands. Help us grieve what we lost without losing our trust in You. Remind us that closed doors are not the end of the story and that our hope placed in You is never wasted. Renew our hearts to dream again, in Your time and Your way. Amen.

I was just talking to a friend today about Dolly Parton's Imagination Library - new books every month, totally for free, for kids ages 1-5. My son was part of the program - this is a copy of the letter that came with his last book, right after his 5th birthday.

6. Rising to the challenge of moral consistency does not mean supporting your man through thick and thin. It means standing with the victims, whoever they might be, against the oppressors, whoever they might be. And, if necessary, making yourself unpopular in doing so.

Reducing women to the idea of a 'Good, well behaved little woman who followed the rules' isn't new - as the stories of Irish women who wanted to go out and stand with others and give them a hand, only to find men insist on enclosure, or twist and warp their legacies of love.

Denying the reality of a powerful Christian woman in a position of leadership in 5th and 6th century Ireland named after a pre-Christian figure associated with Imbolc and fertility who may have had the prayer of ordination said over her doesnt help, either.

3 The report mentions mother's going in a holiday while their children were looked after in the hostel. The attitude to mothers and babies was seen as an example of how to treat people with dignity and respect that other homes could follow. Physical conditions should have been better, clearly.
