I didn't know she was a theatre performer! That tracks, though. And that might be what made it so unsettling. She was acting large enough for an audience, as opposed to acting for a camera and that made it feel so creepy. Her frown during the party was objectively goofy, but I was still SPOOKED.

If every human life is a song
then I suppose it's not a stretch to say
that you composed mine

For better or worse, each note of my melody
was meticulously placed upon a staff
and set in front of me from a very young age

and I would stumble my way through
fingers trying desperately to reach each key
hands contorting with grotesque effort
as I attempted to play each note flawlessly

And at the end of my rendition?
No heartfelt congratulations

Only “constructive” criticism

wherein each imperfection was laid bare
and I was made to stare at it
