I'm doing a charity stream tomorrow! It's my only stream of the year! I just did the math, for the amount we've raised ahead of time, it's starting off as a 28hrs charity stream! Extra time is always an incentive, the cutoff is 30hrs!

Something AI is responsible for that doesn't get enough talk: How, when it scrapes a website to illegally steal everything on it, it uses up a ton of its bandwidth allotment, crashing it or racking up massive fees for site owners.

Being anti-zionist does not make you an anti-semite Thats like saying being against white Christian nationalism is anti-white Nobody deserves what is happening in Gaza, Sudan, or other regions experiencing oppression I don't support genocide, apartheid, or colonialism - its as simple as that

Yeah i think at some point i want to get one of those 8bitdo wireless controllers. That or see if anyone makes replacement rubber for the start/select buttons. the board itself is clean, so i assume the rubber must wear out and become less effective over time.

Sincerely_Sam @sincerely-sam.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Forgot to come back to clean this up and say you were right thank you :D It was in fact just very very stubborn start buttons on two old SNES controllers. I'm really glad the game wasn't actually messed up lol

I didn't need 10 shows from Ed. I needed 2. Two chances to stand in front of 90,000 people and say the words that somehow became too dangerous to
say.
Free Palestine.
But if those words cost me the stage, while turning the conversation back to Palestine, then it was the most successful tour I've ever been on.

I ended up reaching out to a sibling I haven't spoken to in years. We talked for hours. It was awkward at first. My social anxiety spiking for sure. But I'm glad we're starting to mend. Life is very short. And I really think love is one of the most powerful forces in nature.

140

Sincerely_Sam @sincerely-sam.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

We had a family falling out years ago. We put walls up and boundaries. Which is good when it's needed. But I also think it's probably good to know when to start building bridges again.

130

Sincerely_Sam @sincerely-sam.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

I'm trying really hard to remember we all fuck up. Trying to meet people where they are, help them learn and grow. The world is insidiously good at dividing everyone. So I guess I'm trying to be more aware of that. We've all done shit we wished we hadn't. That's part of growing.

Sincerely_Sam @sincerely-sam.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

A few years ago I got a fortune cookie that said: "Allow compassion to guide your decisions." I can be kind of quick to react to things, especially if some one i love is targeted or I feel threatened.

140

Sincerely_Sam @sincerely-sam.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Of course! I get wanting to protect spaces and friends. I just wanted to make sure the people actually benefiting from the charity weren't getting caught in the crossfire. But there's also nothing wrong with switching out to a different cause/charity if that's what you feel you need to do <3

030

Sincerely_Sam @sincerely-sam.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Fair enough. Thank you for explaining

110

Sincerely_Sam @sincerely-sam.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Idk all the details, so I'm sorry if this comes off as overstepping, but I don't really see the purpose of not helping the kids? Yes NCA should address what's happened but I'm not sure withholding aid from kids is the way to go about getting results.

110

Sincerely_Sam @sincerely-sam.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

I'm sorry it's been such a hard month Slonko! Grieving is a hard process that really ebbs and flows. Idk that it's ever really done. You're always so kind and I really appreciate the brightness you add to the world! <3

Unfortunately, AI use is increasing in the non profit world. I understand why, as this is a field that is constantly understaffed and overworked. But holy moly, it is SUCH a breath of fresh air to be in a webinar that condemns the use of generative AI and encourages partnering with artists.

I'm genuinely grateful I grew up broke because I never got into midnight releases, usually not getting a system/games till they're a generation or two past. Companies use fear of missing out to extract as much money as possible from consumers. I'm very okay with not getting new games/consoles.
