Don't have time or space for discussion of this year's Tenant Satisfaction* Measures, but someone took this and whatsapp'd it to me on Friday. I think we have a local Sovereign Network Group culture problem.
A sign in the window of a Sovereign Network Group property reads "S-N-G Hey you're STILL NO GOOD. Whoever you send they will never inspire CONFIDENCE. You are charging for crap services i.e. None.

Ah, the good old days are back @oxfamgb.bsky.social

I still enjoy playing No Man's Sky from time to time.
A fictional alien but horse-like creature, though its head more resembles an aardvark, from the videogame No Man's Sky is depicted. The player has renamed the creature Prince Andrew, because the feature listed as one of the creature's traits is that it cannot sweat.

There are so many reasons that social housing is the greatest tenure, but one of them is definitely the weekly rent.
An image from an annual rent advice letter showing a weekly rent of one hundred and twenty six pounds and twenty eight pence.

History buffs will remember the framing of welfare spending as a burden on hardworking taxpayers the last time there was a nazi government

I am here all day for resisting fascism, but the overlaps with trying to raise a complaint with a council/housing association landlord are stark in places.

Hell if I know why the picture isn't coming up. Plastic fash.
Three Playmobil plastic police officers ready their truncheons to beat up people who ticked the wrong box on a form.

Jan/Feb 2017 I think - "Form Follows Function". A structured, comprehensive guide to doing mergers and other takeovers for housing associations without ignoring residents. Promptly ignored in almost all mergers since, where 'not going bankrupt' has sometimes been the overriding ethos.
An A4 sheaf of papers on a housing project called "Form Follows Function" Designed to include residents in mergers. Page features a list of housing sector sponsors.

Finally shamed into clearing off some of my mess/essential documents on the Chaise Longue of Doom. I have reached the strata where I was, relatively speaking, out and about doing housing stuff. October 2017, Ministerial Roadshow, York. I have kept the Post-It notes because they got me in trouble.
A piece of paper with the department for communities and local government logo, overlaid with two post-it notes, green and yellow, and a sticker bearing the name 'Rob'

My old man had a CX Reflex - trying to remember what year but must've been 83/84ish.
The dashboard of a Citroen CX Reflex from the early 1980s, featuring speed and rev counters that were rotating cylinders, a range of square lights for warning indicators and a partial view of the unusual single-spoke steering wheel.

This was before @itvnews.bsky.social's investigations. Here is a definitely-don't-share-this document from DCLG (now MHCLG again) officials on future regulation from 2019, where most of the changes that eventually came out in 2024 were detailed. What are those ticks and crosses? You may ask >
A tabled document featuring proposed changes to the roles of the Regulator of Social Housing and the Housing Ombudsman from 2019. Red ticks and crosses appear where Rob Gershon and Grenfell United reps went through it the evening after it was proposed in meetings with officials.
