A death, a plagiarism scandal and a quest for revenge: the bizarre tale of Otto Z
The long read: After his mother died, Otto became convinced he’d been wronged by the forensic investigators – and that one of them was a fraud. The truth was even stranger

The C16 poet John Skelton was the rector of Diss. His reputation was not one of piety, so the appointment led to jokes about the underworld and the devil.

Charles Rosen wrote an excellent (and short) book which may not make the music more likeable but does show the logic of S's development. Rosen sees the period between the rejection of tonalism and the devising of serialism as the key.

I wondered about the spelling - there is evidence for a US/UK split (which I am not linking to as it would be a spoiler!)

This is a crucial national institution so emaciated already that Archives NZ shut down its digitisation programme and its digitisation on demand service in 2024. It is already pared to the bone, and then some. The only thing that should be happening is the govt pledging more funds and more staff

One of those ads tells us that 14% of accidents occur on Mondays - and this is (at least on its own) totally uninformative. That is what we would expect if accidents are evenly distributed across the week, it is only useful information when compared to other days. 4/
