On this auspicious day I decided to post a picture of the plinth which denotes the location of the first football match in #Argentina  It is thought the game was introduced by English 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 sailors arriving in the port of Buenos Aires. #ENGARG

This year, I came across my grandfather’s memorial for the first time. I was struck that he is immortalised as ‘Gunner’ E W Clark and yet he was a gunner for about a year before his untimely death. He would have considered himself a printer, which was his profession.

Took a look around USS Cassin Young in Boston. The destroyer saw WWII action in the Pacific theatre where it was hit by enemy shells. A fascinating trip and free to visit

News for travel people in Hull. The legendary Val Fedorczuk/Robinson/Coakley passed away yesterday at the grand age of 95. She enjoyed a full life but her travels were curtailed by dementia late in life

I noticed St Peter’s at Hutton Cranswick in Yorkshire was open this week so I popped inside. A splendid little parish church.

Much better from Hull City in the second half. I thought Amrabat was excellent but the fact is, The Tigers need one more win to remain in the Championship. HCAFC 2-1 PNE.

Glad you got there. I did River v Velez. I also watched Huracan v Sarmiento and Huracan v Banfield. If you’re near the Planetarium, look for this plinth 80yds to right of entrance as you look out. It’s marks the spot where the first footy game was held
