Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 21/08/2026Wow this storm blew up and made a direct line towards Megaplex 110
Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 06/08/2026Found the issue! A little vinegar with and an isopropyl rinse cleaned it up and fixed the problem. It boots normally now! 060
Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 14/07/2026I know this is an ad but it absolutely infuriates me how this shit lighting style is so pervasive and the hot podcast lighting style. It is trash. "Yes, I don't want to see half of the people on screen!!! Please give me LESS light!!! - Statements dreamed up by the utterly Deranged 120
Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 16/06/2026#InternationalDayofLatex you say? Wish I was in latex right now! Here's three shiny fox shapes (third ft. @hansfaffing.bsky.social!) 211914
Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 29/05/2026Another view shows a bunch of sources labeled "PKG_##". "PKG" usually means "Package" referring to a recorded segment that would play out from a server of some sort. This numbering format is usually on remote feeds and would be "REM ##" or "RS ##". PKG doesn't make much sense. 100
Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 29/05/2026This control room multiviewer (based on an Evertz system) has "VIZ PVW" tallied on. Viz is a system that generates graphics like lower thirds. The preview channels are usually not something that you would ever take to air. 110
Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 29/05/2026Enjoying the fictionalization of TV broadcasting in "Disclosure Day". The entire staff of the station seem to be in the studio in this scene. A makeup person, on set? In Kansas City? Aliens living among us is more believable! Also why would they using the soft portable teleprompters in a studio? 240
Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 16/05/2026Had a good time going to the shiny meetup at FWA last week! I need to buy more orange accessories for my new catsuit! ⬛️🟧: @regulation.store 🦊: @madefuryou.com 📸: @stagepaw.dog #shinysaturday #squeakysaturday #latexfur #rubberfur 837933

Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 09/05/2026Not sure if I understand the thought process behind writing out that swag is “while supplies last” but then claiming the tier is “sold out”. But the highest level sponsor tier is still available, which includes all the lower tier swag. 120
Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 09/05/2026Seeing con car show pictures and thinking about how the only automotive related thing I’d want to buy and show off is an old TV news live truck. I just think they’re neat. 3171
Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 14/04/2026I love getting the YouTube surveys. I love feeding some algorithm bad data. 2120
Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 13/04/2026I think this is already gone. But if you want old telephone butt sets, they have a box of them. 030
Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 12/04/2026In 2001 they reformulated it and changed the name from "Mr. Pibb" to "Pibb Xtra" to make it hip and trendy for early 2000's youth. They changed the name back in October of last year (and I guess it took a while to get rid of old branding.) After 25 years, Pibb grew up. 😭 010
Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 11/04/2026California has been upgrading a lot of their traffic cameras over the past few years. The newer ones look pretty good, even at night. Others... Not so much. Is 1978 the date of manufacture for the camera??? 😆 060
Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 10/04/2026Shiny Thursday!!! New catsuit from @regulation.store finally came in today! Couldn't wait to try it on! 416917

Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 07/04/2026The electrical box they mount the sign under is still there. What was the parking garage entrance is now part of the sports bar. You can also see the (now) datacenter building being built across the street! 000
Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 07/04/2026The retro paneling on the outside also used to have these fantastic hourglass lighting sconces. Put them back!!! 000

Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 07/04/2026There's a bunch of neat little clips of the building from the 60's in the WFAA news film collection at SMU. This clip was from less than a year after it opened. The elevator banks still look similar, but they covered up the stone and futuristic backlit ceiling. youtu.be/eBplwuOJGxY?... 210

Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 05/03/2026It's this rackmount dot matrix display. When it boots up, it self tests by lighting all the LEDs and you can see "8HBLACK | 8HBARS" burned into it. I did not buy it knowing any of this, I just thought they looked neat and it was like $10 on eBay. 030
Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 28/01/2026They didn't add the CRT glass VFX to the front of Mr. House's big screen in one shot in the new Fallout episode, so you can see it's an LED wall with some tiles that aren't flush (note the thin horizontal lines) 030

Simon Fox @simonfox.bsky.social · 16/01/2026There is one website showing availability for the San Jose Marriott on Super Bowl weekend. It is going for $1,265. Not for the weekend, for the night. They do not want a room to have some piece of furniture damaged. They absolutely *cannot* have rooms out of service. 220
