I actually did that too in primary school… the tea was a little stewed, but delicious. The dinnerladies & school cook used to make me tea from then on… easier than carrying a flask with my Enid Blytons…

They do obviously bad things. They get away with it. We scratch our heads. “Lessons shall be learned” If WE do it - ton of bricks descends. “You should have known/it’s your fault” We don’t do it again. They repeat, smile & do worse. And on it goes. It’s very VERY frustrating.

It’s hard to teach my child that ‘do the right thing’ is the way to live when there is so much contrary popular evidence in today’s society (in whatever form) & those who perpetrate terrible acts escape punishment routinely & are still honoured & unaccountable.

The bittersweet of going through the hwardrobe & making bags for donation...as I don't fit them & they're wrong without my extra tonnes. Odd seeing items that I wear to death - then realising clothes I've saved fit & look better than I remember.... Glad... but...sad... weird.

Nobody did a song-n-dance number quite like Stanley Baxter - from original broadcast, I remember smiling, singing along and tapping my feet.... (How did I not know....?) Such a hugely underrated talent. Huge influence as long as I can remember - voices, impressions and so on.
