Stereolab at the Royal Festival Hall. Not sure why they booked it as they kept asking people to get up and dance (frowned upon by security) and rip up the seats “like they did in the 60s” (also frowned on).

Some more musical reading for the summer. There is a film as well (which came first I understand) but no idea how to see it. Studio Electrophonique:The Sheffield space age by Jamie Taylor

Latest CD from eBay helpfully came with the original receipt enclosed. Apparently it was bought from Polar Music in Manchester in 2004 for £12.98. Now going for £18.50 plus charges. Which seems fine. I wonder if Polar Music are still in business?

Finally found someone selling La Neu Zealand for a sensible price on eBay so finally I think my Klaus Dinger collection is complete.

I mean, I liked Chris Squire, but I don’t know that I really needed this many copies of the Prog postcards?

Review of a book on Amazon. So bad it may put the reader off ALL SCI-FI. 2 stars. ?!?!
Very Disappointing
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 June 2010
The author has taken a good concept and failed to turn it into a credible story choosing instead to focus on the central characters sexual exploits and arriving at a lame ending. I am put off buying anything further by this author and perhaps sci-fi in general as a result.

Did no one think to check whether the Mill Yard name might already be in use in the near vicinity ?
