We must be of the same era Dave. This scared the bejesus out of me as a kid too. Scarred for life 😂

The aeronautica models from GW are great. My favourite is still the Thunderbolt but these look great too Tom 🙂. Do you have any plans for these to do double duty in Legions Imperialis alongside Aeronautica?

Last week I popped into the excellent Manx Regiment museum whilst holidaying in the Isle of Man. Interesting little factoid - I was not expecting to find the first British rounds fired in WW2!

Yes with your info on Baccus and Nellkyn’s on Pendraken it’s less concerning thanks 🙂

Simon @simon-templar3.bsky.social · 19/04/2026

Thanks for another great update Alex. I managed to find my battlegroup pre-order at Salute in the end 😅. I agree with your comments about the show which I enjoyed. It was disappointing that some historical traders weren’t there- Baccus, Pendraken, Anschluss. Cause or effect?

Ah no worries. I saw the photo you posted of your French line infantry a few days ago and thought it was recent but it must have been an older photo ( I recognise your bench lol!)😂 have a good weekend anyway

Happy Friday Tom. Hope you have a good weekend! Looks like you are back home for a few days.

Hobby dropship delivery today. Old skool 2nd Ed 40K codex. @tomjmegan.bsky.social will be upset but I’ll be using this for running Red Corsairs rather than for the boys in blue 😜

It almost looks like a tiger! Amazing the level of additional armour that crews rigged up as improvisation.

This model was inspired by reading about the DSO awarded action of Maj John Powell of this Canadian unit at Keppeln in the Hochwald on 26feb 1945. Link below if anyone is interested about reading further. #wargaming warfare.ueuo.com/Canada/Pow1....

#festivetankchallenge A day late on completion but finally finished my Sherman after being away for a few days. Modelled as a Firefly of C-Sqn 6th Armoured Regiment (1st Hussars) of 2nd Canadian Armoured Brigade. Thanks as always to @tomjmegan.bsky.social for the motivation. #wargaming #scalemodels

Back to work today so not as much progress on #festivetankchallenge but still got overall assembly and extra stowage added as per @tomjmegan.bsky.social although I’ve skipped the extra armour and going hatches open. Hopefully painting tomorrow #wargaming #scalemodels

Watching Heroes of Telemark (again!). No matter how many times you see it that scene with Kirk Douglas on the ferry rounding up all the kids near the lifeboat before the bomb goes off is just so tense!

@joewargamer.bsky.social its going together very quickly and with no issues. It comes with a great decal sheet of unit markings but absolutely no guidance on what decals relate to what units/theatres 🤷 I’ll probably just do a simple Normandy unit
