This post got pushed to the background. I didn't feel it was complete, but it's been another month or so and I have far to much to add so I'll post this now and work on getting caught up soon.

There was a Chinook, which is a warming trend brought on by warm westerly winds. The temperature can go from -20C to +20C in well under 24 hours. They are common in Southern Alberta. 2/2
