Aged so well - golden mo wax era

Aside from these people being the absolute worst, I’m afraid my next thought was “if they were immigrants the food would improve significantly round there”

If you're enjoying the Cymande doc on BBC4 right now, Tim who directed it hooked me up the Patrick & Steve from the band a few years back for this Bandcamp Daily piece. Find out about their surprise (to them) 2 Tone connection, and which 80s pop hit Patrick sang on daily.bandcamp.com/features/cym...

The Afro-Rock of UK Group Cymande Endures Through the Ages

Freshly reunited and on the heels of a new reissue, the group’s influential sound is as scorching as ever.

Will properly read when finished but loved these words TY “Their trans-Caribbean backgrounds are displayed with pride on the album’s inner sleeve, not only listing where each member came from, but also the year they arrived in England.”

💯. Side point - Not sure how much insight mark Ronson adds, but at least it’s not Martin Freeman

Watching it too. Amazing stuff but literally both turned round to each other and said “marvellous how much we have changed in 50 odd years” re early footage

Be very wary of those who try to intentionally make ideas more complex by using big words for the sake of using big words. Concepts have to be simple to be practical and usable.

Ah how wonderful, Nancy is so great and such a lovely soul x

Enjoying the David Byrne book on music but pretty wild that one incredibly correct and one very bad take are on the same page

Oooh what’s this, I need to do something on trips to London other than idle in French house and noble rot

I absolutely hate the having to scroll and do each letter in turn, abysmal UX

I can expand my list of “things are not as good as they used to be” to include Pantomimes, would pay top dollar for Sooty and Frank Bruno

Was chatting to a mate at weekend and we concluded that you could take every blur and oasis record combined and they have nothing on 1 TFC track, then multiply

And the zero 7 version is mint too

Oh me too, Luke early doors at the eagle is utterly wonderful

If you have an evil prime subscription the levan PG doc is now free to watch there …

I have professionally benefited from stealing “assumption is the mother of all fuck ups” from US2

Re soup recipes I’ve been gifted the new Jeremy Lee book, this recipe is next on list when I get to fishmongers

Nice one, as our dogs only eat fresh chicken we have constant supply of chicken stock (made in slow cooker which is revelation)
